I don't really post here but I have a question for fellow stitchers...I've had a few complaints about not including enough floss in my kits. This could be for many reasons including me accidentally putting the wrong amount in a kit (I assemble several kits at the same time so I accept the fact that I may mess up sometimes). But I'm also starting to wonder if customers know to separate the floss? I put on the floss card "separate floss and use 2 strands at a time (use 1 strand for backstitch)." One customer said she ran out of 4 colors and it seems unlikely that I would mess up the amount for that many colors...
I know people use varying amounts so I include almost double what it takes me to complete a kit. For example if one color took 3 lengths of floss I would include 5, etc. I get a lot of beginner stitchers so that's why I'm starting to wonder if I need to put more emphasis on separating the strands.
