Recommend me a book!

I'm choosing books to take on holiday this year and I've got my 'silly reading' picked but I want to take a polymer clay book to inspire me to get on and make things in the evenings!

I'm thinking of this one;
http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Polymer-Clay-Millefiori-Techniques/dp/0823099180/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC...

but wondered if there are any you particularly love (or hate)? Or do you find inspiration and new techniques online, on the whole?

(I do find youtube tutorials and so on helpful but suspect we'll have little to no internet while we're away!)

Re: Recommend me a book!

I can name two great polyclay books. One is by the same author as the one you mentioned. It's a great reference book for me, since it's mainly focused on technique instead of projects.

The other is all about making beads.

I find both of these inspiring, since I see all the cool techniques and really want to see what I can do with them. ^^

Re: Recommend me a book!

I LOVE both of Allie's recommendations, here is one of my all time favorites:

There are lots of hidden gems in this one, great cane construction is one of them.

I also love Christi's recommendations. I had loads of fun with Sophie Arzalier's book.
I love "Polymer clay, the chameleon clay' by Victoria Hughes. Love the work but also her philosophy on creating in the beginning of the book.

I love The Polymer Clay Techniques Book by Sue Heaser (http://amzn.to/Ne8aOn). It's got instructions for a lot of polymer clay techniques with great photos, without a lot of fluff. I use this book all the time!
