Pros and Cons of Light tents?

Hello guys :)
Earlier this year some of you remarked that the photos I take of my items are too dark and since then I've been thinking of making my own light tent for taking better photos.
However, are there any drawbacks to using a light tent for photos instead of natural light? Or is the light tent better in all cases?

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I think my photos are turning out a lot brighter and with better detail using a light tent. I have had success with taking photos out side in bright sunlight, but my yard is shady and we have a lot of gray light and rain so the light tent has been working out well.

They are supper cheap and easy to make, try it and see how it works for you.

I recently made a light box, when the sun started being to low in the sky. It has been & still is a learning curve to getting pics just right.. It has been a big relief for me not to be tied to the sun though.. You my need to play with your camera's light settings.. It does make for more consistent pics...
