Buying clay in large blocks

Where are your favorite places to buy bulk clay? I like using Premo and Fimo, and I want to try Cernit since I always hear it praised. Most places I find them don't offer many colors. Just wondering if anyone else has had better luck than me!

Re: Buying clay in large blocks

I got a bunch of Premo from sunnydaycrafts.com recently.
They only have certain colors in the 1lb size and a few more in the 8oz size.
I don't think they make all of them in the big sizes, not that I've seen anyhow.

I did notice that the big blocks tend to be softer - a lot softer.
It's not an issue for me since I like my clay a bit softer, any I can always leech it a bit.

Thanks Kathy! It looks like they have a pretty good variety.

I prefer soft clay too, especially since my studio is in the basement and the temperature tends to be on the cooler side. My 2 oz. blocks get hard very easily.

Re: Buying clay in large blocks

I buy big blocks online (can't really get them anywhere else in Australia). I usually only buy black though, which is the color I use most... mainly because it's always softest! I also have a problem with clay going hard, but because my craft room gets very hot during the day and the clay half-bakes in the packets.
