Best glue for magnet-to-clay?

Hi everyone,

I am a bit of a "noob" when it comes to polymer clay, and am working on a project that requires me to glue neodymium (aka really strong) magnets to baked clay. Obviously, I need something strong enough to counteract the magnet's pull when the piece is removed from its substrate. Has anyone tried this before? What are the best options?

Thanks in advance!

I would try a two-part epoxy.

I use E6000 epoxy glue... works a treat. I use rare earth magnets which are STRONG and this glue holds them (I leave it a day or two to dry before testing).

For something like a fridge magnet, I use a wire armature and then 5 min epoxy the magnet to the armature. This way you get two things:

1. A really strong bond that isn't relying on the thin clay
2. A chance to test the glue bond before you put clay over it

Honestly, I stand by E6000 for pretty much any project.
Just make sure you use it in an area that's well-ventialted; it has some nasty fumes.

I use Gorilla super glue and it’s been great. It’s the little orange tube with a blue top. Comes in a 2 pack. Only a tiny bit needed.
