Good Afternoon,

My name is Rick and I am one of the leaders for the Polka Dots Team. I wanted to take a moment and let you know about me and and some important team news. I am a serial entrepreneur, I love the thrill of starting and running my own business, even if it's part-time and in home office. Coming to Etsy although is a new experience for me, but i have jumped feet first into the community and truthfully I love it here. My day job and profession for the last 14 or so years has been web design, development and marketing, so I hope to be a great resource for you if you have any questions that I can help with.

You might have noticed we also recently had a change of Captain to the team, for personal reasons Sarah felt she was no longer able to give the team the attention it deserves but she did an amazing job and I think we can all appreciate and thank her for her time at the leadership helm.

I will let Sayia, the new team captain introduce herself when she is ready, currently she has been spending the last few days reaching out to the other leaders here at Polka Dots to make sure they know we fully support them and want to bring new and exciting opportunities for our team to grow and for our shop owning team member's to grow their business. She has also been manually visiting and cataloging your shops to help us determine the best ways we can help you as a team and she has been busy networking with many of our other friends and contacts inside other teams, working on some of those new opportunities for us all I mentioned earlier. I will let her disclose what we have coming down the pipe for you all once she feels it's final enough to say publicly but I wanted you to know that your leadership is working for you and hope you will give us some time to get everything in order.

My last bit of team news is that we are also working on a venture that we hope to be team based, once it is going it will give us an additional avenue to bring new customers into our shops, who are not already on Etsy or familiar with Etsy. You will also be given the opportunities to market your web sites and shops that reside outside of the Etsy marketplace if you so choose. We are looking for a few beta testers to help us set the foundation for this initiative, so if you would be interested in devoting a little bit of time each week for a few weeks to help us finalize and get this going to open up to the entire team please convo me.

Hello All, I am Gabriela also known as Sayia. I am the new team captain and owner of Sayias and GiftsTheyllCherish.

As Rick has mentioned, my first tasks as a the team captain was to contact our team leaders, view our members shops, activity, see where and who needs help and call out to our active members who are looking to use their experience, skills and knowledge to help our team grow our online presence.

In the past we have focused on BNS and recently BNRs. As a leadership team we would like to expand that effort to help each of us grow our online presence. Some of us have web sites as well as Etsy shops and we would like to help you grown your business as a whole.

For now as Rick mentioned above we are looking for testers of our new method of marketing.

It wont take a lot of your time, it will help your business. Please respond to this thread, or email Rick or myself to volunteer.

Hi! My name is,Cappriell McQuiston "Cappy". I've been married for 22yrs. to a wonderful hardworking man that allows me to be a housewife. I have one 31yr. old daughter who is currently attending school to be an RN of whom makes me very proud. My pride and joy is my 4 yr. old Granddaughter, Selah, who I care for on a daily basis.

You know, I've always liked doing crafts and have done them off and on for years. I started making hair clips for Selah and was encouraged to sell them on Etsy.

Designing and making all my Headbands and Hair Clips is such great fun and therapy for me. I just Love doing it, too. I welcome the challenge of custom orders and made to match hair accessories. It is a very competitive market for hair accessories on Etsy. You have to re-invent your products and keep up with the trends.

This is more of a hobby for me that pays for its self. That is why my prices are so affordable. The quality in my products is very important to me. So don't let my prices fool you.

I love to create. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was 7. Not by a pattern, watching her. It was 2010 that I learned to make something other then granny squares. I still can't always read a pattern but have found I am blessed with a talent to just create as I go..

I loved reading all about you and checking out your shops. There are some great crafters/artists in this group. I started my etsy shop quite a while ago. I am in the process of closing my second shop, redoing my sewing room and my open etsy shop.

I love to sew. I have two wonderful adult children and four amazing grandchildren that keep me busy. I have been sewing for over ...well...a lot of years!

I started my shop on here just for something to do. I usually make something for the grandkids and then make one or two extra to put on here. I do a lot of custom work too.

I just joined and love the number of activities available at your discussion link. I really love the process of making one treasury each and featuring the other team members ending up with 16 favs. A wonderful way to get to know each other's shops and promote at the same time.

I started Etsy in 2009, but with too many things going, Etsy slipped into oblivion. Nov. 2013 I really got back into Etsy and business is slowly growing, for which I thank God.

My mom and I inherited 5, yes FIVE, full craft rooms. We sold tons of it in a divide and conquer process. When she died I received her craft room.

Henceforth I am now in a state of DESTASH. Not just supplies, but many products made by Mom and myself. I have 106 items listed, and at least 601 to list. (And that's only the one's I've photographed.) No kidding, it is true!

I hope you will all come avail yourselves of my overabundance. If you have something in particular you are looking for, ask, I just might have it.

GrammasTreasure was born of the desire to bring to light the "treasures" found in Gramma's attic, along with the items I've referenced above. As the grandmother of three little ones, wife of one husband (40+yrs), and resident of one home for 40 years I am happy to join this group.

Hi I am Rita. I stay in a city called as Kolkata in India. All my life, I have learned different kinds of art forms.. From embroidery to crotchet, clay painting to patachitra, I have dabbled my hands in everything.

Recently my daughter introduced me to this another ancient form of art called as quilling, and since then, not a day has passed when I haven't spent some time on a quilling project.

Hi everyone!

I'm Denise, married with two beautiful girls and a granddaughter. I live in Brooklyn, New York. I create greeting cards and I am the families' go to person for party invites, banners, cupcake toppers and party favors. "I have all the gadgets" as they say.

I started playing around with paper crafting for my daughter baby shower and I wanted to create all those party decorations I would see online. As I was looking for supplies I learned of all the wonderful "gadgets" out there to make these items.

I found a hobby that I absolutely love. What amaze me the most was the large community of creative paper crafters. after a year of creating and learning I opened my Etsy shop. I love the idea of meeting people from all around the world like me that have a passion for crafting.
