Hello there - and thank you for allowing me to join the team!
I've been an Etsy member since January 2010, began listing my toys at www.coldhamcuddlies.etsy.com in September (after I'd built up a stock) and in March 2011 began a blog. At 70+ (my birthday is this coming Saturday) all this social media stuff can be a bit over-whelming, but am slowly getting there - I think!
In July, after folks began asking if I could mend their old bears, I started the ColdhamCuddlies Soft Toy Clinic (which is listed as a single unit on the site - couldn't think how else to do it). Have had several patients from local, UK sources since, but so far none via Etsy! There's plenty of time though!
The blog can be seen at www.ColdhamCuddliescalling.blogspot.com and I've so far posted about 74 times. I waffle on about the toys, how I make them, mend them and otherwise create them - as well as other things from time to time.
Seems to me it would also be a good place for me to help others on this team (there's lots of jewellery promos, and very few for toys I find!), so if folks want to contact me (suggest to me how I fix it on the blog), then I'll happily invite them to guest blog on my site from time to time.
Am currently trying to sort out getting the blog on NetworkedBlogs.com - find that for some reason (probably because I don't understand the "the technical terms" I cannot get other folks' widgets on my blog - however I try, so have given up. If anyone on this team can show me, I'd be glad, and then I could get more exposure - as well as more Followers hopefully. Have now got 54 - am aiming for 100 by Christmas (anyone prepared to help?) Presume, if I'm successful, those who I invite to Guest Blog will also benefit from the extra exposure? Seems logical to me, but then the internet does not always seem to be that logical!!!
Looking forward to hearing from you and I'll happily follow anyone's blogs too.
Bye for now. All the best. Isobel
