Problems with Circle Punch

Hey all!

I am having a bit of trouble with my Tecre 1.5" circle punch. Basically when I cut the paper, the blade that pushes up to cut will get stuck, and I then have to push it down to remove the excess paper. It is like the springs are getting stuck somehow.
I have tried oiling it up and blowing out any paper dust-anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Problems with Circle Punch

I've had a few minor sticking problems but nothing that major

is it dull maybe?
some one once told me to run tin foil through the cutter to help keep it sharp
I do that every 500 cuts or so and it seems to help but I'm not 100% convinced that's a good thing to do!

mine came greased not oiled - I wonder if what you use to oil it can make a difference?

sorry, seems I have more questions than answers :)

I have also heard that cutting wax paper can help with sticking, but I haven't tried that myself

Re: Problems with Circle Punch

Sorry I mean greased when I say oiled. I always confuse the two. I will try the tin foil and wax paper-I have used that method before on my paper die cutters.
Thanks :D!
