Pricing my buttons scares me...

I just figured out the formulas to 'price' out my items and it totally scared me. They were higher than I expected and currently (apparently) I am selling too low. But I've gotten sales, even as a brand new shop, so I'm not sure if I should change? Has anyone else had this problem? Any input on what to do?

Thanks,
Beki

I think you could change your prices - we all want to make a profit, that's one of the benefits/neccessities of having a store. I recently had to change my prices, and it was scary to do, but worth it! :)

Re: Pricing my buttons scares me...

I agree - BayLeaf. In one of the many marketing webinars I've sit in on (haven't we all?!) , there was one woman who doing fairly well with her t-shirt company, but when she raised her prices - though the quality of the shirts hadn't change - people actually bought more. She advised that if a price is too low, customers tend to think that the item is cheap - whereas if the price is a little higher, customers will tend to think it must be worth to buy....Notwithstanding, that the overall quality of the item has to be average or better....

What price a single 1 inch button? Mine are currently 50p (pounds sterling) but I think I am selling them a bit too cheap... any thoughts?
