I Need a Button Machine. Anyone want to sell or trade one? Or offer advice?

Hello,
I need a button machine/press. I know that there are different types and that is what has kept me from buying one, I have no idea what I should get.

I do not want to go into the button making business, all I need to do is make a few hundred each year to use as promo material for my shop on Etsy.

I doubt that I need a top-of-the-line machine for that but I also do not want something that will fall apart or work me to death.

If anyone has advice on what I should look for or better yet, you have a machine that you want to part with, please let me know.

Thanks,
Michael M.

Tecre machines are the best. They're pricier but hold up well and extremely durable. I don't like the badge-a-mint at all.

Thanks for the advice An. I understand that Tecre machines (whatever that is) are durable and hold up better but keep in mind that I am not gonna make thousands of buttons to sell.

My production figures would probably be just a couple of hundred each year so I would hope that any machine would hold up for that.
Durability is an issue to consider but in this case I don't think it is the biggest.

What is wrong with Badge-A-Minit?

If you're not selling them and you're only making a couple hundred a year, it would probably be more economical to buy custom buttons from someone on Etsy who makes them, or a website that makes them wholesale. You can usually get them pretty cheap that way.

This thread had some good advice on what machines to use, too: https://www.etsy.com/teams/9498/pinback-button-lovers-of-etsy/discuss/12438990/

I would stick with a Tecre, one year, the elementary school where I work, some KE teachers ordered a made in China button machine, it didn't work after a few tries and was sent back. I'd recommend buying a used Tecre off Craigslist as I did just that!
