Newbie Question

I am new to the group, but have been pinning for awhile. Forgive me if this question has been asked and answered. I searched but did not find anything on it.

My question is this--I noticed in all the boards that people use the Etsy link to their items they want pinned and not the link to it on their own Pinterest board. Is the idea to get more pins out there or would it be better to repin the first pin so it gets A LOT of repins and gets more visibility?

Hi Stacy! I am fairly new to both the group an Pinterest but I do believe that the object should be to repin vs pin.....which is what I try to do when I can. Since majority of the people I follow are from Etsy, I usually scroll my Pinterest feed and repin anything I see from Etsy in addition to pinning as pinning the posted items with the Etsy item link.

I think the general mode of thinking is to have everyone pin and hope their followers repin vs having fellow team members repin AND their followers repin creating more repins and exposure.
