My search bar (magnifying glass icon) is not showing up on my Pattern website for some reason. But, when I'm in "Editor Mode", the magnifying glass is showing. Why isn't it showing up on my actual site? Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing it?
I tried contacting Etsy support about it, and they said they'll look into the issue and they have no estimated time for when they will resolve the issue. That was maybe 4 months ago and I haven't heard anything back and the issue persists.
I didn't mind it at first because I have sections, but now that I'm beginning to offer prints and products it will be very frustrating for customers to find something when I will eventually have hundreds of items listed. They will probably get turned off and leave, or only look at the first couple pages of listings. I don't understand why Etsy doesn't take this issue more seriously...it can lose them sales.
Please help if you can.
There is definitely a glitch, I had a customer contact me two days ago trying to find some of my items that had poodles on them, I went to my website and used my search bar so I could send her a link with all of the poodle items, it came back as "no items found." After reading your post I tried it again, everything showed up this time. I'm using the "Swatch" theme and the search bar is turned on with no issues. I know some of the older themes have old code which has been causing issues.
