I have a few questions, and thanks for responding, in advance.
(1) Is it true that one can have unlimited items listed for the same monthly fee, on Pattern?
(2) Is your Pattern listing picked up by Google search and
(3) (related to the above) do you have the same listing page with tags to fill in, as the one you use in your generic Etsy shop?
(4) I also understand that the listing restriction of the item having to be either supply, vintage or hand-made does not apply to Pattern listings (for example, one can list modern apparel and jewelry, too). Is this correct?
Many thanks, enjoy your day

I'll see what I can answer. I've also included relevant help pages, if I found them:
1. Yes, there are no listing fees for Pattern. So you can list as much as you like with no individual listing fees.

2. Your website won't magically be picked up by Google. There are ways you can submit it to have Google go look at it. Honestly, I never got around to it. I posted links on FB and Twitter and a few other places, which got Google to notice them. But that is slower than submitting it directly.

3. Tags don't show up on the Pattern site, so it doens't matter if you have them filled in or not. By default, your Pattern listings will use the same title/description as your Etsy listing, but there is a place to override it, so if you have an item listed in both places, your title and description can be different in both. But it is the same listing page overall.
4. You only need to make sure the items you are selling aren't on the Prohibited Items. Other than that, it's up to you what to sell.

Actually, this page answers a lot of your questions:

Hope that helps.

@funkydreamsmosaics Thanks so much for your thorough responses - just one clarification: I do not mean to cross-list (the same item) on both the Pattern website if I open one, and the Etsy shop, at least for now. I would like to keep them separate, with the Pattern site showing mostly new and not vintage items. So, basically, if we cannot enter tags for SEO, then I do not understand how the Patern-only listings can be picked up by Google.
Submitting your (any) website to Google and other search engines is quite easy, but it may only increase traffic to it for a short while, if I understand it correctly. Here is a good article on this: https://ahrefs.com/blog/submit-website-to-search-engines/
I will definitely read up on these topics and the links you have provided, so I am not asking questions answered elsewhere.
Have a great day

I'm thinking you must mean something other than "tags", as those are only for Etsy's search engine. Google doesn't use them. Google does use things, like alt text for photos, that you do not get with Pattern. You can basically only make your title and description SEO friendly.
Hmm. Tags are also used by many other venues, for example, eCrater, Green Life Center, and many programs that offer you to create your own e-commerce website. I always thought that is because your listing would otherwise not be picked up by Google search. Perhaps I misunderstood and it is only needed for their own internal search engine - with the exception of ecrater which actually states, without providing attributes, G will not show your listings in search.
@BlueBirdPrettyGifts, there is a way around the not having a tag section on pattern. I use the material list as my tag section. Google does pick up the material list. What is great about using it is that you are not limited to the 20 odd spaces for each tag. I think, it is something like 35, so it is really great in that respect.
I am anti social (I use no social media), and the search engines do pick me up. I honestly get more traffic on my pattern site than I do on my marketplace site. To be honest, my pattern inventory is double that of my marketplace inventory, so that may also contribute to the higher traffic.
@AtMemoryLane Thank you for this valuable information, I just now see it. Makes perfect sense, and I am not on FB, either - my IG account is not a business account, so I understand what you are saying. I just do not see spending hours and hours of my time on clicking the keyboard on my phone etc. to spread the word about my listings. We shall see how my Pattern evolves, if it is necessary, I may look into some third party promotional site that disseminates the listing info on various social media sites, for a fee.

I have a question about Pattern and Coupon Codes?
Do coupons work on the Pattern? I do not see the box for coupons at checkout.
Yes, coupons work on Etsy. The coupon box is hard to find. If I remember correctly, it is like underneath whatever you are purchasing and you have to click to get to the actual box, or something like that. But there is a place for them, if you look hard enough. (Not sure why they made it so difficult to find them!)
Thank you @funkydreamsmosaics , maybe I have to dig more deeper:)
