Connecting to Mailchimp

So, I'm not a tech wizard, but I'm fairly intelligent (or so I thought! LOL). Just set up my Pattern site this morning and I'm trying to connect to Mailchimp. I have read the Etsy help articles and for the life of me I can't get it to connect! I know it's probably something I'm doing on my end - just don't know what it is!

I created a custom email address in the marketing tab in Pattern (debbie@magnoliastudioart.com which directs to my gmail account). In Mailchimp, I listed my website URL and verified the domain. I have tried using both email addresses for my domain and my gmail account but I can't get Pattern to connect with Mailchimp.

Like I said, it's probably something I'm doing on my end but just not sure where to go from here.

How long ago did you purchase your domain?  Perhaps MailChimp isn't seeing it yet? 

It's been so long since I've set mine up, I don't remember anything tricky about it.

I just purchased it this morning. I didn't think about there being a delay. My Pattern site is up so I just assumed it would connect. Which email address should I use in Mailchimp - my gmail account or the custom email address I have with my domain name?

I would *think* you should be able to use the custom email, but again, I don't have one of those, so I could be wrong.  Likewise, once you get them connected, I can't see any settings.  My only option is to Disconnect from Mailchimp, so I can't even see what I have set up on Pattern.  And I'm not finding much on Mailchimp, either!

Hopefully someone who has set it up more recently and can remember what they did will chime in.

Thanks for the link! I've tried those suggests but still can't get it to connect. I contacted Mailchimp support for help. Hopefully I can get it up and running soon.

I am having the same issue connecting mailchimp to the custom pattern email. Did you have any luck?
