Good morning Paradise!!! It has been such a busy week for me between work, medical/dentist appts, dogs, and general life. Yesterday I spent more than half the day sitting with Nick at a Redi-Med, the night before he had a hellacious asthma attack brought on by allergies. I was THIS close to bringing him into the hospital, but he doesn't have insurance. So we did all the home remedies I could think of. Mike has asthma too, so I'm not unfamiliar with any of this. Nevertheless, it's really scary. The doc there, gave him 6 refills of Albuterol inhaler, and he will signing up for insurance in November when they have enrollment...I think he found out the hard way what this stuff costs out of pocket.

Me, I went to see my doctor this week for my shoulder/arm/neck issue that's had me in pain since July. Tho the massages have been slowly showing signs of improvemnt, I found that since my crocheting orders have picked up, I've been in more pain than ever. MT said it's the small repetitive movements, like crocheting or working on the computer. Figures, I am a graphic designer and an avid crocheter!!!

Anyway, doc has set me up with Physical Therapy starting next week. Told me to stop the Aleve, gave me prescription Ibuprofen (more dosages thru the day) and a muscle relaxer.

This whole thing is truly worrying me as you all know this is the time we get the busiest. I can't quit crocheting, yet it's making me hurt so much more. This is my Christmas money for my family! Going to hold off and see if PT helps me...but the orders keep trickling in. It's exciting and frightening at the same time. I don't know what to do. <heavy sigh>

Having an "In" day today, it's raining and dark and gloomy, but I'm trying not to let that thwart my motivation. My house needs a good cleaning, so I will be off to do that just as soon as I catch up with you all.

Leslie, your all-natural flea treatment for Rosie sounds amazing. Those little buggers are trying to hitch a ride inside now that it's chilling off outside. So far, so good on that front for Haley.

Ruth, good luck getting into the Toronto Etsy show, fingers are crossed. Happy late Thanksgiving to you! Mmmm...everything you made during your baking frenzy sounds great! My husband is the baker in the family, his goods always outshine mine. I cook our more savory dishes.

Morning Paradise! Didn't get as much housework done as I would have liked yesterday. Around 2:00 in the afternoon, I was in a world of pain. Took an Ibuprofen and a muscle relaxer, still hurting bad at 3:00. I didn't even crochet much yesterday.

Had to crochet this morning, I have orders to fill. I don't know what I'm going to do. This gloomy weather sure isn't helping any.

Juls, cool about the tanks and long-sleeved tees. Hope you do well with them!

So, on the agenda today, try to finish up my "To Do" list, I need to get out and get some groceries. Still wet and gloomy out there, ugh!!!

Okay, something positive....Mike will be home late tonite! His full day off is tomorrow and of course, I have to work. But we'll have tomorrow nite and most of Tuesday together. Family dinner tomorrow with all the kids, should be fun. :)

Good Morning, I'm rushing here. Need to get in to pick up my check and go get my allergy shots. After so many years of doing them, I can truly say they are working. Knock on wood, I've gone thru September and half of October and didn't get a sinus infection, yay!!!

I went to my first physical therapy for my neck/shoulder/arm issue. He mostly just did an assessment and gave me one exercise to start working on at home. I go back again Tuesday. He said if I had been in sooner and not let it go so long, it would be an easy fix, but he also understands I was without insurance...go figure, right. But, he did say I'm fixable, lol!

Going to read back, but doesn't look like we've had many postings, I'll heart the listings left. Hope you all are doing well in your neck of the woods! ♥

Family is fine from the fires... so far. They are anywhere from 5% to 100% contained at the moment. None seem to be attacking any of my family at the moment. So, we are grateful and blessed for this. Thank you for your prayers. Still adjusting to life without my MIL. It's very hard.

I am trying one more part for my washing machine, then, I am going to replace it with the one in the driveway. (We had to replace our dryer last year and the lady we bought it from said we had to take the washer too... as a set. Though we didn't need it at the time, we may need it now. That will save us a small bundle. So, fingers are crossed for this last part... )

I will be sitting in this room watching the washing machine as I pack up boxes for the POD for the room... so that the carpet can be replaced.
Oh, and baking and cooking for the memorial. Life is busy.

No word from either interview - I have heard they operate slowly so that they are sure of their decisions. I like that. And I hope they like me.
I have applied for the third position (as it was officially posted) - not sure if I already interviewed (as one teacher from that school was at the other interview)... but I applied officially. And now I wait.

Good Sunday Morning Paradise!

I had a wonderful day yesterday, went to a large art fair at the university, 180 vendors, with my son and bdil. Got a little jump on Christmas gifts and found a few things for myself too. Then afterwards, they treated me to Red Lobster, (Shrimp Fest, yummy!) They give you so much initially I have enough for lunch and/or dinner today too!

Seems like I have ran all week, I'm really enjoying my "In" day today. The sun is shining so motivation is high to get thru some cleaning and other tasks that are on my "To Do" list.

Mike will be home really late tonite, he'll be here until Tuesday early evening. Unfortunately, they keep giving him Mondays & Tuesdays off and I always have to work on Mondays. He only has one more week of training, then we're hoping 4 days off, then he's probably going to get sent down to Ala-freaking-bama where he will be until they finish building his local restaurant. Won't see him in all of that time, there will be no coming home. This makes me sad. :(

I don't know if I said this before, but they are building his restaurant right across the street from where I work. I might just have to walk across and hurry those construction dudes along!

I just sent off the proof for this invitation, not as a wedding invite, but a 30th anniversary. I've done this before with this design.

Sorry to hear about your mil Jul and even sadder that I didn't read about it earlier. Hope you and your family are coping. It takes a while - I keep going to pick up the phone to talk to my parents when I have some good (or bad) news to share and then remember they are not "around" anymore.

Sorry to hear about your thumb Sharon - I remember having surgery on digits and wrists and having to figure out how to do things without them. It must have been a pretty bad fracture to require pins.

How are you doing Kat? I hope your shoulder is letting up so that you have less pain when crocheting. My daughter had to give up her knitting because of a similar problem. She finds it easier to crochet. I hate to think that she will have to give that up too. She is such a fantastic knitter and crocheter and only like to make complicated patterns.

Kat, glad to hear that the PT will do the necessary job.

I've been so busy - I had a show last week and have another on Thursday.
I don't know what I have been doing on the other days - I would have to check my calendar but I'm either out shopping or knee deep in making things.
I got my 50 free listings for each shop but of course only h ave until November 8th to use them - and I am so busy until next week.
Friday is the Creativ Festival and it is almost a 2 hour transit ride each way if I want to go.
Saturdays are reserved for my granddaughter unless I have ballet tickets or a show. I don't have anything now until November 18 and 25 (tickets).
Sunday, I am going to have to go down into my basement and move a pile of stuff for the handyman to repair walls. Monday, he comes to start them.
Tuesday morning, I have an appointment at my lawyer's office. They left me a message on Thursday afternoon but I was out and didn't see it until after they closed on Friday. I called this morning to find out what it was all about. It looks like I have to fill out a form there and then (hopefully) my settlement money from the accident will finally be on its way. My accident was Feb 1, 2013, and I settled June 26th 2016 - and still waiting for the money!!!!!
Too bad, I don't have time to go there this week as it takes a whole morning or afternoon to get there and back.
