Hello to Kat, Cherilyn, LindaD and Dianna!

I THINK I fixed my washing machine. Did one load hot/cold and it was fine.
Daughter did the next load - warm/cold - and it didn't stop or drain or spin at 8 minutes.
Did a back door remedy to end the cycle to allow her to rinse and spin and dry them... She needed the clothes.
Did a reset. Did a new load on warm/cold speed cycle EMPTY, and it was fine.
Now... trying a cold/cold cycle. Knock on wood.

cold/cold worked.
hot/cold kept filling.
I replaced the hot water inlet valve for $28.
The cold water inlet valve costs $95.

I am a little more hesitate to try to do a self fix for an additional $95 until I am sure that this will solve the problem. $28 was not that big of a deal, and the testing meter did say it needed replacing. I have not figured out how to test the cold water inlet valve yet. Still looking on the internet.

Happy Monday! My air conditioner went out on Saturday morning so we spent the weekend being pretty hot. I didn't do much as I don't like the heat, haha. The repair guy is out right now, hopefully it is a quick fix.

JULS!!!!! insurance is a pain and godsend..those deductibles are awful.

I noticed fleas on Rosie dog as she laid on me in bed on Friday nite. AAIIEEEEEEE. So the entire weekend was a blur of dog baths, 12 loads of laundry, cleaning, vacuuming, rinse and repeat. We can't use the topical usual products as they make her throw up, but even if we could, I've heard such horror stories about pesticides and pets that it would scare me. I found this amazing spray and shampoo on Amazon that is remarkable..all natural, uses peppermint, tea tree, and other oils and it kills the buggers..smells really good too! Rosie is all freaked out after having two baths in two days. Honestly, so am I...HAHAHAHA

Dianna, a workroom for your beading - I am jealous. I keep meaning to get things organized around here but there never seems to be enough time of late. I am not even getting on this laptop!

Trying to get some more things listed in my shop as I am applying to the Toronto Etsy Street Team's Christmas Show. Since I was waitlisted for their last (Sept 23) show, I am hoping that they will let me into the December 16th one. I am also waiting to hear about the show I did last year. Last week the organizer said she was sending out applications but I haven't seen anything. 9 days until my first show of the season. Will see how that goes.

Kat, glad you like your son's new girlfriend. I have mixed feeling about my daughter's hubby. :(

It's Thanksgiving here today in Canada. In the past 24 hours I have made (all from scratch):
1) Cranberry Sauce 2) Candied orange ginger yams 3) pumpkin loaves - one plain and one with craisins 4) a carrot cake with orange filling and cream cheese frosting 5) pumpkin pie
Now, I shall need help to get it all over to my daughter's house.

Carrot cake made as the last one was a disaster. I made a nice orange cake after and my son in law said I owed him a new cake. Don't know what happened - could not find my recipe and in general cakes have not been turning out as well. It could be the change of flour brand... I made sure to buy my usual one this week.

Pumpkin loaves are not for today. The plain one is for my hairdresser since I have an appointment on Wednesday. The other one is for the freezer.

Speaking of my hairdresser. Dropped off his custom stainless steel bracelet last week. He also bought two more from me that I had posted on Instagram. I am supposed to be bringing another one on Wednesday. So I will have beautiful hair for a few more months. ;)

Interview is tomorrow, Tuesday... and I have another one on Thursday - same district, different school... different pregnant teacher. EEK! I would love either of the jobs. Nervous, but trying to remain calm. I know I will be taking another teacher's place for a little while, so I would like to make a really good impression/showing.

Thank you, Jul. :) Not transparent, just used regular white cardstock and a Stampin' Up! stamp with black ink. :) I was thinking it would be cool to give them to kids to color in with colored pencils.

We are far enough away from the Napa/Sonoma fires, but the air quality is awful. We have that barbecue smell in the air and the warning for "unhealthy air" and to stay indoors. All games and practices are canceled. P.E. is indoors and mellow for the kids. It's just safer.

We are about an hour from the fire, and across the bay. But, it seems so close. We have family about 2-3 miles from the fire, but the wind has shifted the flow of the fire away from them. They are packed and ready to go at a moment's notice though. It is a very scary thing happening right now. So many people are losing everything. They are evacuating quickly and saving their lives. Your prayers are appreciated.

The interview went well. SEVEN people at the interview. This is more than the summer and a full-time position, when they do interviews. It was fine; I wasn't concerned, but interesting to have so many people for a long term substitute teacher job.
I was "me" and I believe I answered the questions well.
I think at this point, it is just a matter of which candidate they feel will work best with them. I liked the panel. I liked the principal, too. He made me feel comfortable. So now, I wait.
There might be another position in another school, too... hence the seven people. It seems I was interviewing for two positions.

Tomorrow, I will interview for the other school (third job). So, there are three position available.

I am hopeful and staying positive.

Just to let you know...
My beautiful MIL just passed away yesterday.
My SILs are in town. We are all sad and coping.

I had my second interview 3 hours later. Hubby told me to go.
It went fine. I was somber and answered the questions fine, I believe.
I will wait to hear. (Strange? Yes. But, Hubby told me to go and said it was okay... no matter what happens. So, I did.)

Just keeping up with daily life, at the moment. One day at a time.
