Yippee! I got one project funded! A foundation donated to my reading books and math games request and completed the funding. Yay! How exciting!

I have another project on there, too. Maybe someone will see it and help with that project too. That is a kitchen set of sturdy plastic toys and foods. It will help with dramatic play, family dynamics, and maybe a future chef!

So, my machine is fritzing majorly. I am thinking of removing all items that need to be made from my shop until after it is fixed. I can sell what I have, but deactivate all the custom - made to order stuff.
I think this is better than going into vacation mode. It will keep my items active in the SEO's, right?
(Got an order today... I stated the 7th is the last day for a Christmas delivery. So, we will see... if I catch up and the machine cooperates, I will try to get it done sooner. But, it all depends on the machine.)

I just deactivated 99 items in my shop that are "Made to Order".
I need time with family and time to get this machine fixed.

I got an order today... a custom bag. (Yay for the sale, but I hope she doesn't want this for Christmas, because you know I will try to get it to her.)

I did leave two made to order items in my shop... because... idk

Would you believe, after deactivating 99 items, leaving only TWO items that are custom order, I received 2 orders... custom. HA!
Life is funny that way.

Hello.
* There will be changes to the teams coming soon.
* There will be a period where you can "read-only" and you will not be able to post anything. This is so that Etsy can change over our team to the new and improved teams.
* You will be able to "like" a comment someone makes.
* Teams without any NEW THREADS since November 2016 will be deleted. So, if your Captain dropped the ball, the team will be gone.
* We will lose our team logo in the transition, so Kat, if you have it or can save it, we can add it or change it later.
* Deleted threads will no longer be accessible. (I don't believe this means "closed threads"... just the deleted ones, like when we started one and made a mistake.
* And I believe we can send a message to all team members at one time, instead of individually sending messages. (Love this one!)

Anyway, there is more, but those are some highlights.
So, if the team goes to "read-only"... don't worry. Just wait a little while because Etsy is changing us over to the new and improved teams.

Happy Holidays everyone. Just popping in for a short minute to check on you all, heading off to work for my one day this week I'm working.

Juls, yes, I have the team avatar, no worries. Convo me when you need it, if I'm not around. Do you know when they are changing over to the "New & Improved" team?

I have 6 days after this that I'm not working, have my hubbie home for all of it too, woohoo. (I am loving him being home). I will try to pop in again when I have more time and let you know what I've been up to.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and that the New Year brings Great Things!

I have had good sales this Christmas (at least good for me) with my glittery snowman earrings and angel ornaments. I wish my other items would sell.

I was on my phone this morning when an email popped up from Etsy - a sale of my angel ornaments. However, no chaching sound.
The order is all wrapped up and ready to put in the mail box. There is only one pick up - in the morning so I set the dispatch notice for tomorrow.

It's been a busy few weeks. My granddaughter's performance in the Nutcracker went really well. I think she stole the show in her second act as a lamb. When they did their final bow, she was beaming!

With the many days of rehearsals, I got really behind in the house. Also had to do a few last minute shopping trips as I did not have Christmas Lists from my younger daughter, son-in-law, and nephew. Then, of course, there was the last minute grocery shopping.

Rehearsal times, I was repairing or altering costumes, helping with the snacks for the dancers, keeping the little ones occupied, etc. etc.
It was a wonderful show, and my son in law was impressed. The latter is very important as he really liked the other dance studio and Fiona is likely to move up a level by next year (2019/20) and that will mean three days instead of two at the ballet studio.

I was at my daughter's for Christmas day. It was a 12 hour visit! I contributed to the dinner with homemade cranberry sauce and candied orange ginger yams.
Yesterday, everyone came to my house for dinner. ... that included both daughters, son in laws, grandkids, and my nephew (who only stayed a few hours). I made matzo ball soup and a tortiere ( old fashioned french canadian meat pie). My younger daughter made two different quiches and a salad. There was also olives, pickles, cheese, homemade hummus, and pita, plus my baked goodies: Christmas cake, mince tarts, gingerbread men, and brandy walnut (shortbread) balls!
I thought my younger daughter and the grandkids were sleeping over so I spent a number of hours, stripping and remaking the beds and cleaning the upstairs - sadly they all stayed at the other house. Happily, I now have beds all made up for guests. :) That actually means that when I have both grandkids over they don't have to sleep in the same room. One can sleep in the bunkbeds (their room) and the other in the guest/den on the double futon.

Time to think about popping my order in the mailbox and maybe hitting the boxing day sales. It was really cold this morning so was waiting for it to warm up. Tomorrow we get a jump in temperatures and it is going to rain. Then Saturday we plunge into the below zero freeze again. :(

Hi everyone. I hope everyone had a great holiday. I have had my shop on vacation mode. I had so much going on that I didn't want the pressure of my shop and the holidays to get to me. I am back on, now I need to get to Etsy. Talk to you all.

So much for me waiting for the temperature to warm up yesterday. It was freezing. I popped the parcel in the mail box and then instead of walking the rest of the way, I waited for the bus. It warmed up some after my first shopping at Marshalls. I was looking for housecoats for the grandkids and Enchantimals for Fiona. I went to several other stores to get the housecoats but even Walmart did not have any. :( It was so cold and dark when I left that I took a cab home.
Today, I am off downtown with a friend to the Art Gallery and for lunch. It is supposed to be much warmer with possible rain. I plan on checking out two of the Marshalls stores and hopefully picking up some hair things for Fiona in the nearby dance store. Wish me luck!

Sandy, how are you feeling? I understand about the pressure of the shop and work. Good for you. And Good luck with the re-opening. :)

I had 500 items in my shop. Removed the "custom orders" and was down to 377. Now, due to expiring items, I have only 180 items. I need to renew everything that is ready to ship... so the pressure is low and I can get my machine into the shop to truly get it fixed.

I wish I liked wine. Is it wine-o'clock yet?

juls I am doing all right. My shoulder is still frozen, doing pt every week. Hopefully it is better soon. They told me it could be up to a year. How is your new job? I have been so happy having this week off. Hope everyone has a great night.

Sandra have you seen a chiropractor? I had a friend (also named Sandra) who had an accident and went to specialist after specialist about her shoulder. Consequently she couldn't work. Then she saw a chiropractor and he fixed it and she was able to go back to work again after some therapy.. :)
