Craft show displays

Hi everyone! I am going to do a couple of craft shows this holiday season, but am at a loss as to how to display my cards, tags, etc. I will share a booth with a jewelry designer ... not that that really matters I suppose?

I tagged along (no pun intended) on a show last month, just took a couple of items and had them in a perfect (I thought) basket where delighted customers could easily flip through them. Well... no one did. So I spread them out a bit on the table and they were handled - but not sold.

Not to be deterred ... I am seeking the wise advice of my fellow paper geeks. Any ideas??

Thanks in advance :)) kim

Re: Craft show displays

I went to a craft fair last weekend to see how cards were displayed by the vendors. One had about 30 cards standing upright on a table so people could see them. Each card could be seen, but it wasn't necessarily attractive. Another vendor had cards in baskets: a big pumpkin with Thanksgiving cards; a green and red basket with Christmas cards and tags and another just for birthday cards. I liked the basket idea, but the patrons had to thumb through the baskets to see each card. There wasn't much table space for displays as she was selling other items as well.

I would be interested to know what others do. What did you do?

Re: Craft show displays

I just did an indoor craft show this weekend. I used twine strung and used mini clothespins to attach cards to it. Works well if you have a wall behind you :) I also had some in baskets and people did flip through them. Also had a small vintage cupboard that I had a couple dozen displayed on.
