Re: Introduce yourself ....

Hi, I'm Su (sometimes known as Tangle!) and I'm looking forward to seeing some of the other papery creations from team members. My own direction is collage with vintage postage stamps, usually as notebook covers, although I'm planning to add some more framed pieces for this year. I love playing with colour, but the stamps themselves are just so fascinating! Hope you will browse my shop if you get a moment. :)

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Hello !

Thank you, Manon, for this team and this thread!

I live in France, in a small village in the Alps mountains. I am an enthusiast Etsyan, both a buyer and a seller. I opened my Etsy shop a few months ago, and I take care of it during my free time. I enjoy the Etsy experience very much, I have been learning and discovering so much since I opened my eco-friendly stationery shop !

In my shop, you can find multipaper notebooks, made from repurposed papers. They are 100% handmade and eco-friendly. I like to upcycled envelopes, ruled and unruled, kraft, white or coloured, papers.
The use of upcycled papers gives a unique patina to my stationery. One of my favourite materials is kraft paper.

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Hi Everyone!

My name is Karen and I am the owner of HDPaperBoutique. I also own another shop 2HeartsDesire (hence the HD in Paper Boutique). My other shop has been open for just over 5 years now and starting to reap the benefits of a lot of hard work and dedication.

I just recently opened HDPaperBoutique so that I could have a separate shop for all my paper goods and greeting cards. They never seemed to go over very well in 2HeartsDesire and this is my last ditch effort to get my passion noticed. I thought grouping similar items together would create a more cohesive look. We shall see!

I have a passion for paper! I can't tell you how many hours I can spend at a time just working with paper, card stock, embellishments, etc. creating unique and beautiful cards and other paper creations for every occasion. In fact, my greeting cards were the first things I listed with my original shop.

I'd love for you to stop by and take a peek.

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Hello All,
Just accepted the invitation to join. This looks like a wonderful group and I'm looking forward to being a part of it!

A little about myself:
I specialize in designing blank templates for paper crafts; which can be used for commercial purposes.

I also have blank digital planner templates and am currently working on a new line of planners; which are for personal use.

I've been designing for over a decade and have dabbled in many types of graphics such as banners, blog graphics, various printable forms, and the like. Over the years I've decided to narrow down my specialty to blank templates and planners--which I enjoy most!

Thanks for reading and for the invitation to your group.
Have a great day,
Erika~

Re: Introduce yourself ....

My name is Vicky and while not a crafter myself (yet) I have the greatest admiration for those who create beautiful things from paper. In my college days I was an art history major so I have always been drawn to beautiful illustrations. I guess it was inevitable that some of that appreciation would lead to the addition of craft supplies to The Unpoked Eye, as well as the creation of VeejayIllustrated, which is dedicated to vintage book illustrations, prints, and paper ephemera. (I've also joined the team with that shop, as well)

A big thanks for the invite to join the Paper Craft Team. I am truly looking forward to seeing the wonderful paper craft items made my members of the team. Who knows? Maybe it will inspire me to do a little creating myself!

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Hi. My name is Pat. I am a mother of 4, grandmother of 6, retired home schooler and part time science teacher for a home school coop. In my spare time I craft and always have. I have always tried all different kinds of crafts, but started doing paper crafts a few years ago and last year launched my shop on Etsy. I love to repurpose old things and find new uses for things. My country farmhouse is a mix of vintage, antiques, and handmade items.
Thanks for the invitation to the group! I love reading each person's comments and seeing what they make!

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Hi my name Jonna and I live in sunny Las Vegas. I am married to my best friend Randall and we have 2 dogs, 1 cat, 7 rabbits, and 7 chickens.

I love to do so many things such as garden, camping, hiking, anything outdoors really, quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and last but not least making just about anything with paper.

Right now my shop features handmade cards and gift card holders but I am still adding. I opened my shop in June 2015 and it has been a slow process for me because I work outside the home as well. I have had a blast so far.

Thank you for letting me share.

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Hi......my name is Pat. I live in Folsom, CA, with my rescue kitty Sassy. I am fortunate to live close to my two grown daughters, Kim and Laurel, and my wonderful granddaughter Sydney (who will turn 21 in 2016!).

My shop, The Vintage Decorator, allows me to share my love of books and vintage items. I rescue hundreds of old books from thrift shops, estate sales, etc. Some of them are so damaged that they cannot be sold as they are but they may contain beautiful illustrations, poems, music, etc. I love these old pages and will soon open another shop that sells ephemera of all types.

I am delighted to join a community of people who also love working with old beautiful papers.

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Hi! I'm Susan. I have a couple of shops -- Manon found me through my stick pin shop. I started that shop when I was putting beaded pins on my cards, and now everyone from brides to scrapbookers shop there. It's at http://killamcreative.etsy.com.

I love making embellished greeting cards and albums, as well as shadow boxes and other assemblage-type art. That's what you'll see in my "KillamCreativePaper" shop.

I look forward to meeting like-minded folks and participating in the team!

Cheers,
Susan

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Thank you for the invitation to the team!

My name is Charity. I am 41 and have two kids. I am married, have one cat, and live in Terre Haute, Indiana. I opened my shop in December of 2009 and pretty much immediately went on hiatus with the adoption of our children. I re-opened in October 2015, and am going full steam ahead!

My shop, Ephemera Ever After (https://www.etsy.com/shop/EphemeraEverAfter), focuses mainly on old paper - greeting cards, post cards, gift tags, brochures, wrapping paper, etc. I also have plans to add some of my other vintage treasures that include baby clothes, fabric crafts and kits, glassware and whatever else tickles my fancy.

I sell a mix of unused vintage ephemera as well as used items that can be supply for other artists. I love old paper, but am not as creative...so I share what I find and watch to see what becomes of it!

Digital items are something that I am beginning to offer - printable images from my personal ephemera collection, DIY valentines, print your own note cards, etc... I think it's a fun new way to share the images I love with others who want to use them in creative new ways. I love it!

I ultimately want to help keep a love of handwriting and letter writing alive, so I hope some of my items will inspire that. If the rest inspires new and different art, that is awesome, too!

I look forward to helping promote the love and art of paper crafting!

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Thanks for the team invitation - this looks like a great group!

I'm a stay at home mom located in the Austin, TX metro area. Online I sell only handmade, one-of-a-kind greeting cards with the thought of possibly expanding into other areas. I also sell locally, in-person, with a greater variety of handmade items.

Had to chuckle when I read the very first post - I'm a bit of a scrapbook supply hoarder, too! I have too much inspiration and not enough hours in the day to use it all. While I keep working on that, I look forward to participating on this team!

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Hi! I'm Katie and I'm excited to be a part of this team! I live in Henderson, Nevada with my sweet husband and our kitty. I sell love letters. Growing up I always kept boxes full of letters and notes from everybody I love. My friends and family know that's my favorite gift of all. Every order I get makes me so excited, knowing someone somewhere is going to receive a love letter. Hope you all are having the best new year!

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Thanks for the invitation. I'm Dayz from Birmingham in the UK. I am a Games Tester by day and an Etsy seller by night.

I've been doing graphic design since leaving school a loooooong time ago now. I found that during the recession in the 90's and again in 07/08 that print really suffered so freelance work wasn't easy to find.

Then I found Etsy...... not only do I now have customers from all the world but I really enjoy working with people from the creative communities.

I would like Etsy to be my full-time job and am trying to work towards this.

Looking forward to getting to know you all. :)

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Hi all!

I am a newbie shop owner - just opened earlier this month and still getting my feet wet. I am very good at buying on Etsy, I'm still learning the ropes of selling. I've always loved everything paper, and have LOTS of ideas and plans to load up my shop and build this little passion project. I'm excited to see what other paper lovers are doing, and will provide whatever support I can!

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Good morning! I joined a few months ago, but just now had a chance to come really check out the group! Thanks for letting me join!

I'm a stay at home mom of 2 young girls and a dog. We have several acres of land in Indiana and a big garden. So, most of my summer is spent gardening and preserving my harvest. Other times, I love crafting! It's my therapy for sure. I mostly do scrapbooks, but also do cards and other paper decor/gifts.

My husband is a woodworker, and we share our craft business - Bourbon Creek Crafts. We have the Etsy shop and do local craft shows. I love being able to work with him on crafts and projects!

Re: Introduce yourself ....

Hello everyone,
Art & Consequence is a family-owned business located in the heart of the Rockies. We live and work in beautiful Castle Rock Colorado. Our business was born out of a love for books. There is nothing like the touch, the smell, the taste of a book. Running your fingers through the dog-eared and familiar pages of your favorite novel or biography brings peace and tranquility to the soul. We enjoy recycling and repurposing these old favorites; giving them new life and extending their usefulness.

Please stop by our shop and have a look.
