How do you market your art?

Anyone have any suggestions on how to use tags/ titles or another marketing option to reach their target audience promoting fine art? I understand it's important to figure out your target market in order to improve your ROI and increase the chance of reaching the right people, however once you know this how do we reach them (besides local art galleries, craft shows)? Any ideas from others would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is my target audience:
i.e. women and men (mostly women), ages 30-60, college educated, disposable income, enjoy decorating, art lovers, etc.

What do you do to market your fine art? What seems to work vs. not work?

Re: How do you market your art?

Never been much good at "marketing" . I try to get better at my craft and then try to get it out there for people to see. First on art BB's then my own website, then on various social media over the past 8 years or so. But, in all honesty, I find it exhausting, and it takes away from getting better at what I do.

I don't paint to sell. Mostly, I feel like I have to sell, even though I don't want to. Sometimes the exact right person comes along, willing to pay what my work is worth to me, and that is exceptional, and rare. lol. I really don't belong at etsy. I want to be where I matter, and make a difference. That is important to me, this ain't it.

Not very uplifting, I suppose, but there it is.
