I notice that all views of my shop or my items come from within Etsy. I'm not complaining, but how can I get more folk from outside Etsy to come and look at my shop and my stuff? I'm new here, and a little non-techy, so I'm not too sure of myself. Has anyone here been successful at bringing outsiders into Etsy to see their shop? How did you do it?

I have brought some in but not a lot a lot of people (pretty new too so still working on it all). I have actually gotten a lot of views from a site called Wanelo. It has a lot of items that are for sale on the internet and you can go through it and favorite items that you like and set up different sections of types of items. I used it before coming to etsy so I already had a lot of items favorited and people following me pre etsy which helped.
Recently I read that to get people in from google the most important things are your title (keeping it under 75 letters including spaces and not all caps is important) and your description. Rewrite the title of your item in the description and then the first things should be about your inspiration or meaning of piece etc so that google will get more searches. I have very few from facebook unfortunately and I have gotten some from twitter even though I don't use it much. (I only got one because of my shop on here).

There are other sites to use such a pinterest and tumblr but I haven't used them as much and thus have had no success with them sadly. There are forums about social networking sites that are helpful and I will be expanding the sites I use soon.

Thank you, Michelle. I do use Pinterest, and I've started a little contest there. I hope to get more people from Facebook and through Google searches. I don't use Twitter at all. I'll have to rework my titles and descriptions, with the SEO in mind.
