Etsy's update to Teams and Forums has left us all wondering what happened to the images that we use to see! Well not to worry, the newly updated text editor allows for much more customization than before.
Follow these steps to post a photo with your image. You can even add a link so that when you click on the photo it will open a new page!
1) Copy the photo of the item that you intend to promote
2) Paste the photo into the text editor
3) Once the photo has been input into the text editor, you can resize the image by clicking on the markers on the corner of the photo. This will allow you to drag and drop to resize your image.
4) To add a link, copy the URL from the listing you want to redirect other sellers/customers. Select your photo in the text editor and then click on the chain symbol in the toolbar. The chain symbol is located between the strikethrough and numbered list (1., 2., 3., etc.) symbols above the text editor.
5a) A pop up will come up where you will paste your URL into the designated box, the TITLE is what will display when someone hovers their mouse over your photo (We like to put 'LINK' in the TITLE box for simple clarification).
5b) Within the pop up box. If you click on Target, you can choose to have your page open in a new page or in the current page. We recommend choosing NEW PAGE as it does not disrupt the user's original page from which they were directed to your item.
YOU DID IT!
You've now inserted your own image and linked it to your shop page!
Happy posting!
