Ah yes Monique – know your weeds... Some are not as tough as they look and some are surprisingly resilient. It also helps if they have been pressed for the “right” length of time. Not too fresh or their soft cells will burst and all you’ve got is pulp. Not so old that they are very brittle and crumble to dust. You are just going to have to play!
Re the demo videos - Double Elephant Print Workshop got funding to produce 4 demo videos and 4 shorter ‘top-tips’. We are releasing them slowly over time and don’t know when we will be able to make more. Simon Ripley who I set the up the workshop with all those years ago, has done the mono print video (& the relief print demo yet to be released). Our colleague Catherine Cartwright (shcools co-ordinator) has done the drypoint demo.
I will let you know when my collagraph top-tips is released. The other’s don’t have Etsy shops but would people like me to alert you to them too??? There has kindly been a link added to the
Printsy Blog to take you to the other Double Elephant videos. – Thanks ever-so for that.
