Marketing PDF Patterns

Hi to all the experienced and new designers/pattern makers! I have just listed my first ever pattern - fully tested and used by myself and clients for 6 years. I have full confidence in it and the new patterns I am currently developing as high quality products in the PDF pattern world. My only concern now is marketing... I would gratefully appreciate any advice or tips you can throw at me! (Pretty please)

Learn as much about your buying clientele as you possibly can. Alway ask for suggestions for improvements.

Great advice Pattern Pile!
I'd say creating and posting your actual made items (from your patterns)
in your social channels,
And the biggest for me at least, has been maintaining my own website
where I sell my PDF's from.
I see it as a hub where all my marketing efforts point back to.

Congrats to you, Donna! I'd also suggest posting your pattern on Craftsy.com if you haven't already. It's a great community of crafters and they don't take any percentage of your sales. They're very supportive of indie designers. Good luck!

I started today my first free pattern giveaway on my FB fan page. I ask my fans to like the page and to comment there with the name of the pattern they like and in a week I will draw out 3 names and the winners will receive a free pattern by email.
