watercolour paint help please :)

hi there i am now doing some new items for my shop, i have drawn for years and want to try something a little new. i have recently had a play with some childs watercolour paint and like what i have created.

my questions is what are the best water colours to buy for a professional finish, i have noticed you can buy in blocks or in tubes, which in your opion gives the best results.

many thanks

Re: watercolour paint help please :)

I think the best water colours are bought in tubes and the good brands include Windsor and Newton, Maimeri, Schminke and Daler Rowney. There are lots more but those are the ones I get drawn to as the pigments and paint quality is very professional and beautiful.

I use Winsor and Newton artists paints in a pan. It's definitely worth spending a bit extra to get artist quality.
