I'm 24 years old and I'm currently a college student majoring in Computer Science with emphasis on software engineering. I just opened my shop selling baby clothing and accessories in September. I spend most of my time studying, on my computer and sewing (as you can see, I'm not a very eventful person lol).

I have been crafting pretty much my whole life, but baby clothing is a new hobby for me. My mother also creates some of the items in my shop. I am working on getting her to sit down and write a bio for the shop.

I have been sewing since I was 8 years old, however; with school and life events I took a break for a few years. Recently I wanted to start sewing again, but I had no desire to make anything for myself so I figured baby clothing is perfect! I can be as creative as I want, they're small projects and what's cuter than baby clothing? Right?

So tell me about yourself! :)

Hi everyone! I just started my etsy account last month. I have been a stay at home mom for nearly 2 years now and have 2 little ones. To save money we use cloth diapers and wipes. Over time I have learned to make more and more things from scratch and I love doing it! I figured what better way than to try and make a little extra money and make things to sell to others especially since its my new found passion.

Hi! I'm a stay at home mom as well,one boy and one girl. I love putting my own style into traditional items. I make hair accessories for mostly little girls,but some are for teens/women as well. I love the victorian and vintage eras,so many of my hair accessories reflect what those styles mean,in my eyes! I also do some sewing now and again,but mostly right now I'm into my bows. I figured Etsy would be a great way to get my stuff out there!

I am also a stay at home mother of 3, ages 9 months, 2, and 8, full time accounting student, and during tax season I work for H&R Block. On Etsy I sell my custom designed crib mobiles, and wall letters. I have always been a crafty person, starting in childhood, and love to create and decorate my home and children's rooms; but like most I can't afford to buy all those beautiful things you see in the magazines and on TV, so I decided to try my hand at making them. This gave me the opportunity to personalize each of my children's spaces just how I want. It also led to the birth of a small business with requests to make items for friends kids, and as baby shower gifts.

As a military spouse we move a lot, and with our last move and the birth of my daughter I decided to see what Etsy could offer me in creating a larger market for my ideas and items, and not just the word of mouth.

Hi. I am a grandmother to 3 wonderful little people. All to big now for knitted and crocheted baby items, although my three year old granddaughter is still a fan of all things pink and fluffy and frilly and crocheted, sewn or knitted. All the better when nothing matches! I live in Spain after 32 years of moving aorund with my husband on military duties around the world. Now I spend my time doing what I enjoy best, crafting in one way or another... as well as trying to reform an old Spanish finca in a small village.
I opened my store last month at my daughters suggestion and have enjoyed the thrill of selling (2) items from my shop.

Hi! I am a work at home mom of 3 kiddos; ages 16, 3, and 18 months and currently 8 months pregnant with our 4th. :)

I am a Marine Corps veteran of 10 years and an Accountant. I have been in the Accounting field for 13 years...that is until I was laid off last year. Since then, I have enjoyed being home with the kids and decided to start my Etsy Shop. Although it has been open since Dec 2011 I've only really started stocking the shop over the 3 months. I am looking forward to the collaboration and some honest feedback on my Shop.

Hi I'm LaDonna. I am currently in the process of finishing up some of my items so I can get them listed by this weekend. My shop should officially open then since I have everything else on it done. I have a son Dominick Giovanni who was born this July and after buying all of his nursery stuff on Etsy custom, I figured I would try to just make everything so it would be easier for moms like me who are looking for a more rustic theme nursery.

hi! i'm jesie & like a lot of others on here i recently opened my shop. actually i started it a few years ago and then took a multiple year break :)
i love to knit! my favorite right now are small knitted animal rattles. i made one for my little boy 2 years ago when he was born and he still loves it. they are small enough to ride in carseats and shove into diaper bags. i also make hats and earrings. a little of everything at the moment until i see what people are interested in buying.
i'm happy to join a new team, really looking for feedback and helping each other generate traffic and eventually sales!

I was not able to sit and type an introduction last night when I joined. Sorry!

So hi! My name is Astrid. I am 20 and my birthday is in March. I live with my fiance, my 8 month old daughter, my 10 month old puppy, and my two ball pythons (soon to be four). I am from the east coast (US) but currently in CO.

I love animals, including random wild ones, except I am apparently at war with squirrels again (will explain in a moment) and most cats like to hate me. Though the exception to the cats hating me is my friend's cat Garfield and random stray black cats..... Anyway. Because of my love for animals I often bring in animals that need some kind of rehabilitation. I no longer take in dogs needing rehab though, I want for my daughter to be older so that if she needs to she can hold the dog down. If any of you have down rehab, you may know how some dogs will just charge at you unexpectedly.
My most recent rehab taken in was a younger ball python that was especially nippy, underweight, and terrified of human contact. I recently rehomed him. He wasn't perfect but he was considerably better.

The squirrel story: I'm not usually afraid of squirrels, but I have had horrible experiences with them. When I was much younger my mother and I ended up surrounded by squirrels at Central Park; animal control had to be called. When I was 12 I had a tiny little squirrel chase me... Yes. Chase. We lived in a duplex at the time. I ran around the houses and it followed, I climb onto a low stone wall and it followed. The last incident was a couple weeks ago. I had my window open, and the window screen had a small gap that you could put a couple fingers into. I hear an angry chirping and turn around to see a squirrel pulling at that gap. I didn't even go away when my dog got on the counter to bark at it. Now... I have a pitbull, so it isn't like it was a tiny dog the same size as the squirrel.

Now that the squirrel story is done, my crafting experience. I have been crocheting since I was 5, knitting since 16. Most things I make are my own pattern. I am currently working on getting my patterns listed onto the ravelry data base. I'm hoping to have finished getting 30 patterns together to make a book by January. I am at 21 patterns with 5 completely ready to go (tested and errata listed). I do a lot of custom orders. People give me their idea, I make it happen.

My shop started while I was at an adoption party for a friend of mine. I just happen to bring some items that I had made to show her. One of her friends saw them and said that I should start setting up a store to sell them. Of course I thought it was a good idea, but at the time I was only 13, how was I going to be able to keep a store up. That's when I found Etsy. It's easy for me to upload items and cost basically nothing. Enough of that, now I'm 15 and my sewing skills have improved, I started out making crayon rolls and am now able to sew skirts, and other items that are more advanced. Everywhere I go I get great compliments on my handy work. I hope I can keep kids happy with the items I make, it gives me a big smile on my face when I see kids open up their gifts that I make them. Now like I said earlier Kid's are life to me, and it's true. Having three younger siblings and around 15 cousins there's a lot of love going around. I find it hard not to surround myself with kids everyday. On top of my store I babysit, sew and attend school everyday. During the summer I like to sew, sew, and sew. Some of my friends call me nuts, but it's my passion. Everyday I get inspired to make new and fun gifts for babies or toddlers. Hopefully you guys take the time and check out my store, your sure to find something that you love.
