Have you thought of making soap sheets?

I'm referring to paper-thin sheets of soap, so thin they're like paper and one sheet is enough for one handwash. My mother recently mentioned how handy they are and I have to agree that keeping one packet in my purse will save me from a lot of those moments where there isn't soap in public toilets, besides, they will scent my purse nicely too!

I ran a search on etsy and ebay, and all I found are soaps that are sliced into one-use slices, but they are still too much for one handwash and are not bringing-around-friendly.

Was wondering if anybody here thought of making these? I'll be very interested to get a whole load of it from you if you are since I'm not a soap maker, thanks!

Hmmm... very interesting! I saw at a bed & breakfast once, "petals" of soap. I believe they were just silk flower petals dipped in soap... sounds like an idea to run with! I have been contemplating the petal idea for awhile... wonder how to do something like it without having to throw away a petal every time...
