I thought it might be a nice idea to have a check in/what are you doing for your business today thread. This is a place to post your goals and plans for your business as well as a spot to keep us all accountable and maybe make a few friends along the way.

Today, I will be trying to get up to date with doing some videos to place with my shop items.

I've been procrastinating a bit because I'm a perfectionist and not used to doing short videos. Learning a new phone hasn't helped, but I purchased a Pixel 4a5G after looking at many reviews and loved the quality of pics.

Oh boy do I get the whole perfectionist problem! I tend to put things off too, because I'm convinced that I won't be able to do it perfectly, so I end up not doing it at all! It's such a viscous circle lol

Today is a focus day for me. I'm uploading editable versions of all my premade logos, banners and branding sets. That way my customers have a choice of either having me customize them, or they can take them to a site like Canva to do it themselves. It's going to take a while, so it's a working day for me!

I'm glad you mentioned that about branding. I think it's so important no matter how small or large your business.

I'm presently working on my to do list of next step next step process for branding. I work full time as manager at a non profit helping with the aftermath of this Covid Mess. So when I get home, I hit the ground running working on my Etsy shop and website.

If I have 10-20-30 minutes, I break everything down to different phases of. Learning new skills, learning about social media, and still trying to make jewelry to keep fresh product.

Then ahhh... I drink my Ginger tea and write down my ideas and inspirations from the day that were all bottled up waiting to be inked. LOL

Today I am trying to get 1000+ followers on instagram, any tips would  be great.

How did you do? 

I won't lie, Instagram has always confounded me. I understand how it works, but I don't understand how to make it work for me. Twitter and Facebook are more my speed, but then that may be my age maybe?

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today's plans are pretty much the same as yesterday for me. I'm still working on uploading all my banner and branding designs as instant downloads for people who would rather do their own editing. I'm finding the listing process to be a bit clunky right now, so it's taking a lot longer than I would like. Oh well. It's how it goes sometimes I guess 

I'm also working on a new full 7 piece branding set that I hope to get uploaded either today or tomorrow. 

Other than that, I'm going to be enjoying some of the nice weather we're having this weekend here in Ontario.

Well, in spite of all the listing issues I've been having the past 2 days, my instant download logos and banner sets are done! Whew!!

Now on to branding sets! Wish me luck lol

Today i have 3 orders to post and then i am waiting for new stock to arrive in the afternoon, looking forward to sorting it all out and beginning the photography session (fingers crossed for sunny weather)
