HELP! How to make my FIRST sale, I feel like I am doing something wrong?

Hi all,
Its great to be part of a forum like this to get ideas and exposure and if anyone can help in how I can get my FIRST sale it would be great.

I design and make all unique one off pieces.

First being delicate wooden friendship bracelets with metal charms.

And I also design and hand make by knitting and crochet baby and children toys such as Teddy the cutest little monkey. They are all 100% safe for baby. All individual with own character, baby and adults will fall in love.

If anyone can help to give me any pointers in how to make my first sale and continue selling please please please help me :)

I think one of the most important things is titles and tags. Instead of putting Meet Alice-the handmade etc.. put Hand knitted doll, Meet Alice - the handmade knitted/crochet ballerina
do the same for the pig and monkey. the first 3 words are the most important.

for the bracelet you could putt wood bead friendship bracelet,Shades of Pink Wooden Beaded FriendShip Bracelet with Silver...

just pretend you're the buyer and think of the phrases you'd put in the search box

Hey! I checked out your shop, and one suggestion I have is not to use black and white photos for your turbans. Your other items stand out so well in colour, and I'm afraid your turbans are going to be lost in searches.

Suuuper cute little animals. Wishing I hadn't bought my niece a Christmas gift yet!

Love the turbans! But the face on approach is not working for me, I get distracted by the eyes staring at me. You need to let your items be the star. Could you perhaps get one of those heads that milliners use to model your turbans? Also, some of the photos are blurry and either too dark or too washed out.

Seriously, those turbans have potential here on Etsy. Could you do several time periods for them? I.e. 20's, Steampunk, Victorian and so on. There are a lot of sub cultures that look for those tags (put the word in the title and tags).

Thank you Birgitte, I do have a head that I use when designing the headpieces so i will take some photos using them. In the last 10 minutes I have dramatically reduced the price to get started on my business promoting the he turbans. Because I use a lot of antique gems on the turbans I can not reduce the price too much but I have for the interm to start my shop getting sales. I do love the turbans and headpieces and it is great that you told me that they could have potential on etsy. I will take on board your suggestions and follow through , thank you.

I definitely agree. The eyes take away from the product. All I see is these big round eyes staring at me when i look at the listing. It would be better to put something different as the initial photo, and have that one later.

Don't reduce the price too much. I think they might already be too cheap, actually. $15 is on the low end. I'd say $25 would be a better price range. It's NOT the price that brings the sale, it's the photos and the tags.

Sarah and Rachel from AddAPopOfColor , Thankyou, yes looking at the pictures now I can see your point, I will use them as the second pictures so you can see them on a model and use the pictures I will take with the millers head for the main photo. BTW I love how you use so many beautiful colours in your designs after looking at your store, beautiful work.
