New to the Group!

Hi Everyone! I wanted to say a quick hello! I joined the team today and have just LOVED hearing from other cat lovers!!!!

I have two little fluff balls who run my life. While none of the items in my shop revolve around cats, if you look closely you can see their shadows in about 99% of the pictures I have taken! HAHA :-)

Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Erica

Welcome Erica! I hope that you like the team!

I have three cats, 11 birds, and some fish. Occasionally the cats take interest in the birds (especially the 9-month old), but that's what sturdy cages and squirt bottles are for, right?

Re: New to the Group!

Hello! Sometimes it seems Etsy is a professional cat owner community! :) We have two cats, and yeah, they inspire most of our work.

I have always wondered if it is possible to have other small animals which normally would fall into the category of "cat food", like above mentioned birds or something like a chinchilla (they are so soft!).

Re: New to the Group!

Renata, it's just a matter of training the cats. I've had rats, little lizards, hamsters, fish, rabbits (granted, the rabbit was HUGE), and guinea pigs as well as all kinds of birds along with cats. I've never intentionally left the smaller animals out of their cages unattended, but sometimes they got out and the cats didn't harm them. Was that just luck? Probably!

Re: New to the Group!

Hi
i love all animals but have a special place in my heart for the 3 i have.
my oldest siamese cat Baby fell out of a oak tree when he was young.
now he is nearly 12 and he requires the most attention because he is once
again losing his control of his back legs. he had fractured his pelvic area when he originally fell. the vet wanted to put him to sleep. he gets carried around now and likes to be with the other cats TOO. He is so sweet and good even though he can no longer walk very much.
i am happy this group is on etsy..

Re: New to the Group!

I don't have a cat right now but have spent most of my life in their company, in the city and in the country here in the UK. So I am very much a cat person (and a dog person, and just about any other animal. . . ) I will get/adopt another cat when we move next year, cross fingers. I miss them.

Re: New to the Group!

I'm new, too! I have two kitties: a huge orange luv bug of a boy kitty named Toulouse who I adopted from a local rescue group that does TNR here. His mom was a feral who was TNRed, and he and his brother and sisters were placed through the rescue.

My other cat is a little mackerel tabby named Violet who is a total nut half the time and a lovey little baby the other half. A few years ago, my dog, Usagi, was playing in the yard when we hear her start doing the bark that usually means she's found a tortoise and is annoying the heck out of him. But, as soon as my husband gets outside, he sees what he thinks is a baby raccoon trying to look big before Usagi grabs the little guy in her mouth and runs around the yard like a lunatic. Luckily, she knows the "drop it" command very well and she does. That's when we realized she didn't have a baby raccoon, but a tiny kitten she found under our shed. So...that's how we ended up taking care of a 3 week old kitten who grew up to be our Violet, who we adore. We never were able to catch and spay her mom, a very wary feral who we had seen in our yard, but would never get anywhere near our house, even when we put out wet food for her. I don't think after Usagi scared her that she was willing to take a chance of meeting up with her again. And Usagi has learned the lesson that squeaky toys you find outside grow up to be annoying little sisters who think it's funny to slap you on the butt. ;)

I have a Siamese Himalayan cat called Tantomile. She has lots of attitude and is very talkative. She also likes to nibble on our Labrador dog's (Relic) ears. They love each other very much.

I love when people photograph their cat in their listings. If you have a listing with your cat in it let me know so i can favorite your item in my Kitty favorites ♥

Hi fellow cat lovers! I'm new to the group and our family is owned by a 4 year old Norwegian Forest cat and a 'month shy of 21 years old' Tiger cat! Our 4-year old is the QC inspector for all orders and she appears in our "About Me" shop section! So happy to have found this group!!

Re: New to the Group!

My cat, Pasha, t is my personal assistant.
He assist me personally.
He wakes me up in the middle of the night
when he senses that I need to use the bathroom.

He knows that I need this minutes before
I feel any sensation that I need to.

Does anyone else's cat do this?

This cat is 2 years old. My previous cat
also did this.

Pasha is a Siberian from Shadowlawn Cattery, Roswell, Georgia.
My previous cat was a long hair domestic.
