I just wanted to let folks know that we are looking for vendors for Merry Market 2012, to be held November 16-18, at the Hospitality House Hotel and Conference Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia. For those who may be outside the area, we are located between Washington DC and Richmond, VA (about 52 miles from downtown DC and 54 miles from Richmond Raceway). The proceeds of Merry Market benefit programs serving at-risk children in our community.

The Barnyard Junkies, Hanover Craft Mafia is preparing for its 1st Annual Vintage Holiday Market 2012. This year the shopping event will be held on Friday, November 16 (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.) and Saturday, November 17 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) at The Hanover Arts & Activities Center (500 South Center Street, Ashland, VA 23005) hanoverarts.org/.

Applications and information are on the event website listed below. If you are interested in being a vendor at the Vintage Holiday Market, please return the application via email no later than midnight August 1, 2012. This a juried show and applicants must furnish non-returnable photographs of merchandise or website representation with the application. You will be notified if you have been selected or put on a waiting list. We will send you a contract that must be returned with a non-refundable booth fee no later than midnight September 1, 2012 to reserve your booth space.

Indoor space is a little larger than a banquet size table and space around it and is for Fri and Sat. Outdoor spaces are approximately 12x12 and are for Saturday only. Tents are permitted but not provided. Admitted vendors will hear more details regarding their participation in early September. Please help us by passing this email along to anyone that might be interested in participating.

For NOVA (and surrounding areas), Manassas is hosting the Fall Jubilee in October (http://historicmanassas.mymediaroom.com/wire/events/viewevent.aspx?id=13408)

There is also a fantastic 3-day show at the Dulles Expo: Northern Virginia Christmas Market (http://www.emgshows.com/anvcm). I vended there last year and it was worth every penny! Last I heard, they were still looking for vendors.

Also, there are three shows sponsored by Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild that still have open spaces. You'll need to join NVHG, but membership fees are low, and so are the vendor space fees at the shows. Definitely worth the expense! (http://www.nvhg.org)

Northern Virginia Pagan Pride Day has just been announced, and 10x10 spaces are just $45. Historically, this has been a very successful event for me and I have made a lot from sales. Enough so to make them my only exception to my "no outdoor shows" rule. Even when it rains, sales are good!

The Spring Bada-Bing is looking for handmade indie artists, crafters and designers on the east coast and beyond!

The 36th Corpus Christi Christmas Attic and Craft Fair will be Saturday, November 7th from 9am to 4pm at Corpus Christi School in Falls Church, VA. All hand-crafted items are welcome!

Our Craft Fair features a wide variety of: hand-made jewelry; holiday decorations and ornaments; hand sewn/crocheted apparel including hats, gloves, scarves, shawls, sweaters and skirts; children’s items, including hair bows and accessories, American Girl Doll clothing, and toys; pet toys and accessories; world crafts from India, Nepal, Tibet, and Nicaragua; decorative home accessories, including tapestries, pillow covers, ceramics, quilts, and scented candles.

It’s time to apply to the Richmond Craft Mafia’s 14th annual Handmade Holiday craft show!

We’re back at Hardywood, with all of our vendors outside under big heated tents. We’re welcoming over 50 of the best crafters, artists, and makers for the city’s favorite holiday shopping event! Half of our vendors will be there on Saturday and Sunday, and half will be there for one day only, so be sure to stop by both days to see lots of amazing new art and gifts.
On Saturday, we will offer Early Bird hours to our shoppers at 10am.
**For a $5 donation to our non-profit partner Big Brothers Big Sisters, shoppers gain early access to our vendors.**
At 11am, the doors open to everyone for free. The show ends at 5pm. On Sunday we will not have Early Bird shopping. The show hours will be 11am-5pm on Sunday.
