Hello, I am opening a brick & mortar shop in historic downtown Paris, TN on August 5, 2013 and I am seeking those that are interested in consignment. The shop is primarily billed as a candle & soap store (and other bath & body products) and I will carry is a variety of handmade container & pillar candles, incense, soaps, body butter & lotion, lip balm, kid’s bath items, etc. However, I would also like to carry home décor items, handmade signs, artwork, aprons, etc.
I know that consignment is not for everyone, but I offer a consignment percentage of 70% for two months of display. Additional time can be negotiated within 14 days of the end of the contract. Payment is once per month via check or Paypal and we provide a monthly accounting form on how your products are performing. All items will need to be shipped to me, and if there are remaining items at the end of the contract, I will carefully pack and ship the remaining items to you. In addition to print advertising, all items will be promoted on our Facebook page and blog.
My store location is adjoined to a thriving salon, with entryway from the street and the interior of the salon. We will also offer after hours crafting classes, so there will be a steady flow of foot traffic into the store. Downtown Paris is home to an abundance of concerts, events, and family centric activities that benefit shops located in the downtown area. Our local chamber of commerce and Downtown association market the downtown area to local and regional magazines, TV, & radio. Local profiles have been published in Southern Living, Tennessee Home & Farm, AAA Going Places and American Profile.
