How do you do your Facebook Giveaways?

Hi team. for those that have done FB give aways, can you all give me some suggestions on how you did them? I'm ready to do my first one, and really need some help. I'm going to make it as simple as possible, and not make everyone jump through hoops. Here's what I was thinking but don't know how effective it would be.

1) Announce the giveaway on FB, with a picture of the give away
2) Requirement - Go to my blog, follow it, and add a comment that you'd like the item.

Then what, if I get enough comments, use the random ? program to choose and announce the winner on both?

What if only 1 or 2 people participate?

I had a FB givaway. I had a home party and announced it there and also posted a picture on my fanpage. My only requirement was they had to like my fb page. I had about 50 or 60 likes before this giveaway and only got about 2 people during the contest. Hardly worth it for me. I did it anyway and randomly had my daughter pick a winner. I messaged the person and asked her address and let her know that she had won. She was very excited.
I think it will be a while before I do that again since it didn't help much. Hope you have better luck:)
