Which card payment system do you use?

Hi all, I'm finally deciding to take the plunge and get some kind of card reader / payment system, but I only do a couple of craft fairs a year at most, so it needs to be something low investment. I have a smart phone with Android....but then I know for a fact that one of the fairs that I'm doing this year is in an area with poor phone signal coverage. (In the past I did Bovey Contemporary Craft fair, which was problem-free because they have a central card payment system that takes payments on your behalf, for a fee of course).

Hi Maria, I have a Pay-Pal machine. Only used it a couple of times though but worked well. You do have to have WiFi or 3G/4G available though which may be a problem in some places.

Bumping this one up because I'd be interested if anyone has had experience of other card payment system.

Have tried using the PayPal here thingie with Double Elephant - but haven’t had much joy getting it to work and now it's refusing to connect with the work mobile phone.

Hi Lynn,
I have an iZettle. If you go for their basic reader you don't have to pay anything up front and only pay a percentage of each transaction (I think 3%). Perfect for me as I hardly ever use it but you do need wifi. It plugs into your phone and you get an app where you can also record cash transactions so handy to keep track of an entire session of transactions. You can upload all of your items, with photos, which you can just select and add to your basket or input miscellaneous amounts. It also lets you do percentage discounts and things. I think it's fab..... but the wifi connection is an issue.
