Yep! Mine has definitely built
Definitely to do with the number of items you have listed, and number of sales, number of reviews etc.
Views don't necessarily mean sales, but the more views mean you appear higher in searches in etsy and also google etc.
Twitter has helped immensely! Particularly joining in #devonhour and #handmadehour etc. These boost up the views, and doesn't directly result in sales, but helps shop be seen etc.
My etsy shop wasn't really doing much and I had seriously neglected it and was considering leaving!
Then in July I decided to give it one more shot as I'd accumulated a lot of free listings
So I listed a lot of items, and gave myself monthly listing targets like 25, 50, 75
I reviewed my tags, descriptions and photos
I joined in teams
I did treasuries
i promoted my listings on pinterest and twitter
and sorted out delivery prices
I also listed my Frames, which I hadn't listed before as they're fragile and can only be posted UK. As most sales before that had been US or Europe I was wary about listing them. But I just went for it!! And listed them UK only.
and the effort paid off
I didn't see an immediate response, but during August the sales started trickling in! :)
2013 - 5 sales (though couple of them were swaps)
2014 first 6 months - 3 sales
2014 aug-dec - 34 sales
2015 so far - 2 sales
and the majority have been UK. I've sold a lot of frames, they've been the biggest seller, but sold a nice mix of other things to.
So here's to 2015!!
And good luck to everyone else too. Don't lose hope! xx
