Devon craft fairs / events

I thought it might be good to have a thread where you can post details of craft events in Devon that we might want to take part in, or just visit. I found this one which looks interesting - it's an art/boot sale at a lovely venue. Might pop along to visit that one.

any other devon events?

Re: Devon craft fairs / events

I've just signed up on www.stallandcraftcollective.co.uk They have a few Devon events listed, but they seem to be the regular ones. Overall it looks like its trying to be a mini Etsy crossed with ....... I don't know what really. it's all a bit messy but their are some bits of information there that are useful.

I've already been contacted by an event organiser about attending a fair, which wasn't listed, but we'll see.

It's a shame I'm away for that one Lorraine.

Yes that is quite a useful site, I tend to only find out about the fairs after the event when people are discussing them! The Cathedral green craft fair (Exeter) in July is a lovely one but I couldn't get to that one this year.

I'm going to do my best to get to the Cathedral next year, but jewellery did seem a bit overdone.

Re: Devon craft fairs / events

Hi Folk, I have just discovered a section on Etsy I didn't know was there (not a surprise there!)

It's called Etsy Local and it's for posting details of Craft Events that you are attending https://www.etsy.com/uk/local. I've added the ones that I'm doing in Tavistock.

There is a little note on my shop page about events now. if it gets seen it does, if not I've not lost anything!

Re: Devon craft fairs / events

I don’t do Christmas fair myself, but I know that many members of this team are interested in doing such things.

Anyway – I spotted this on FaceBook https://www.facebook.com/events/891688387534421/ - (Details inc contact details below....)
And wondered if any team members are taking part or might be doing other are/craft fairs. Now is a good time to be thinking about Christmas markets. Anyone have tips to share?

"The link is to The landmark Christmas Fair:-
When: Sun 6 Dec, 10am to 5pm
Venue: Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe
Tickets: Free admission to the Craft Fair

Do your entire Christmas shopping under one roof.
Come along to our Christmas Craft Fair where we will be selling locally produced arts and crafts, vintage wares, Christmas cards, local produce and gifts.

With a Santa's Grotto, film screenings and Christmas carols, this festive market is a lovely trip out for all the family.

Our Rendezvous Cafe will be serving traditional mince pies, mulled wine and, of course, Sunday roasts.

If you would like a stall (traders and the public welcome), email ellie.denyer@northdevontheatres.org.uk or telephone 01271 865655"

Re: Devon craft fairs / events

The Landmark was full when I enquired. Shame really, as it looked ideal. I'm going to be at Lupton House, Churston Ferrers at the end of November and Bovey Castle at the start of December. They're both Christmas fairs, so I keeping my fingers crossed that they will be okay.

Damien, when is the one at Lupton house? It's only a 10 minute drive from me so I'd love to go.

Re: Devon craft fairs / events

Hi Folk, has anyone taken part in the Exeter Craft Festival on Cathedral Green?
I am thinking about sending in an application but would love it if there is anyone who has experience of it, is it worth doing etc?

Re: Devon craft fairs / events

Lupton House is on 28th and 29th of November and Bovey Castle is 6th of December.

Kim: I think all the spaces are gone now, but it's worth enquiring. You can get their details from their website, discoverlupton.co.uk.

Lorraine: I think they hold wedding fairs as well. That would be a great place for your items.

Carol: You could try contacting Okie Soapy. I know she was there. It's not one that I would do because jewellery does seem overdone there, but there wasn't much glass.
