Introducing Myselft

Hi All!

Just a quick introduction: I have been a macrame artist for 20 years and have just launched my shop on Etsy. All of the pieces currently featured are sample pieces I created in the design of my collection - to launch soon! (Hopefully - ahhh the pitfalls a new seller encounters!)

I only work with natural materials. To my knowledge I am the only macrame artist on Etsy that's doing that - I would love to know if there are any others out there avoiding the Polyesther trap! Finishing techniques in natural materials like cotton are very different and it would be wonderful to have someone to discuss this with!

Please feel free to ask me questions if you have any! I have a wealth of info swimming in this skull and I'd love to share!

Julia :)

I also work with s-lon alot but also work with leather(deer, elk, cow, cork), horsehair, cotton fiber, cactus fiber, sterling silver thread and hemp. Love working with different types of mediums though some are really hard especially to finish the item and ensure that it is strong and will last especially for folks that use them during sports where they get wet or sweated on.

I do work with polyester, but I also like to work with cotton. I'm still searching for a place where I can get thin enough waxed cotton cord for filigran jewelry. Perhaps ypu can help me? I bought different 0,5 mm cords, but they have very different thickness.
