Tips for getting more traffic to my store...also is the google advertising feature worth it?

I haven’t been opened long but would much appreciate tips to get more interested buyers. I just enabled google advertising yesterday but not sure if it’s worth it or not. I have seen any improvement in traffic yet and it can get expensive. Also is Pinterest a good platform to post too? How would I go about sharing my items?

Advertising is okay but I think you should wait for a bit.  

 You don’t have enough items in your shop at the moment to get found in search.  And also your SEO is not yet correct. You need to be using all 13 tags and the right tags, and titles, and tags that are not highly competitive. You can get 85% of your sales from Etsy’s platform alone if your SEO is correct.  Advertising is good but you don’t want to spend money if your store isn’t in order yet.

 Also the reason you need more items is jewelry is a highly competitive  area with over a million jewelry websites which means you will have to narrow down to a niche. I suggest using a keyword tool like Erank and watching the following YouTube coaches who are experts on jewelry sales:

Dave from Add to Cart, his store is Woodland Zen

Starla Moore, her store is Art by Starla Moore. 

They both have SEO videos.

There isn’t really a set number of items a store should have. Some stores do well with just 20 items, but if you are in a super saturated area such as jewelry, you want to narrow down to a niche/certain audience and then have as many items as your competitors in that niche. Don’t add the items all at once. Add them daily or twice a week/ something like that. This is because Etsy likes sellers that are active in their shops so adding a bit at a time will help you.

I agree with what has been said so far, but would also like to add that yes, Pinterest can be very effective if you can grow up a following there.
