Your shop looks great. I don’t think you need more complex items but a statement about how to use your products. It’s hard to tell on all of the stores you listed exactly what they are selling.
My daugter sells digital download watercolor baby prints on Etsy. She puts right on the listing photo that it’s a digital download so the buyer knows immediately what they are getting.
i think you have a theme going which is really nice but you need to do something different and better than your competitors.
I would suggest using the other picture slots to show how the buyer would use your product. Maybe show it on a shirt, in a frame, on a pillow, anyway you think it could be used. Lots of buyers may not know how to use these files.
Also, I noticed you use the tag svg in some of your listings but you don’t offer the svg file. Buyers will be put off by this and bounce from your page if they are looking for svg and you don’t have it. It would be good to put that you are a digital download store on your banner somewhere.
Better seo would help also. I searched the term watercolor svg in Marmalead.com and it is searched for about 160 times a month with low competitors so it would be a good one for you to rank for.
Your competitors have sales because they have been there longer than you so they have more authority. It takes time, so be patient. A good person for you to learn from would be YouTuber Nancy Badillo who is an expert at digital download selling on Etsy. She has a ton of free informative videos.
Good luck!
Hi- You need more Holiday downloads, fonts, and backgrounds. I didn't see any Christmas downloads or any other holiday items except Easter. You need items that people aren't going to get elsewhere like beautiful backgrounds or unique fonts. Your store looks great but check the other stores and look at their items category and I think you will notice they have a lot of holiday downloads. Good luck and hang in there. It does take a bit to get started.
Hello
thanks for reply but I just started and Christmas is already passed, I am planning mother day gifts, graduation etc 4th july but wonder whether this thing work for me or not
Maybe you should work on some more complex designs. Remember, your shop is about what you want to make, not what others are making. The rest kind of just falls into place. I would think that the other shops probably blog, do a lot of social media awareness posts, etc in order to help grow. You could even set up a promotion to give a discount if someone has an item just sitting in their cart.
I personally use SVG as my final design files, so if you have that listed but you don't offer it, you should remove it asap to build trust in viewers to purchase from you.
In my shop, I think of what I want to do and then I make it. I don't scope out competition first because I don't want to be swayed by their designs or pricing structure. I charge what I feel is fair for my effort and quality. I see some sellers slash their prices so dramatically that I don't see how they can even make a profit with smaller quantities, and to me, that type of strategy isn't the best bc then you are undercutting yourself.
So to sum it up, work on your Seo (there are free ones out there to start with!) and do some social media marketing or show final art with your graphics as examples. Some people just need to see ideas in order to know how to use the graphic! Best of luck to you ~
your items are amazing and you are correct, you are very comparible to your competitors. I did not look in too much detail but maybe check out your item tags and see how they tag their listings. Maybe you are missing a very popluar tag. You can also search which tags are trending. Good luck!
