Neighther
I use neither of them. A lot of people, when they are first starting, usually do not have tons of money laying around to purchase all these 'Helps' - some of which the actual amount of help, and quality of the help they provide is questionable. One can glean a lot of the data that these services provide, on their own, with no cost - other than a little work and research. You have the satisfaction of knowing that you did it on your known and have gained some knowledge on how the 'system' works and how to find the information.
eRank is free under the integrations tab in your shop. it has valuable information you can dig out about your listings and competitors. It would pay you to study it and make your listings better. But maybe you have so many sales you do not see the need in that.
You don’t have to use these tools but if you don’t other sellers have an advantage over you because the main thing they do is show you what Hiw many times a month Etsy buyers are searching for a particular term.
Yes you can type in Etsy’s search bar and the number that comes up there is how many competitors there are not how many times a month the word is searched for.
You can use google analytics to find this out about keywords which is also good but that info is for google. Google is different, they have billions of websites. Etsy has millions, big difference.
It has also help me identify my target market which is one of the most important. I’m not an expert and there are many shops with more sales than me but it did help me get up the 1,300 sales I do have.
ERANK is free! Marmalead, you have to pay. I started with Erank and then tried Marmalead. I use both now because I like some features of both.
Use the free one, why not?
I just signed up for marmalead entrepreneur. Its only $20 a month. I'm in the process of critiquing my shop and items as per their suggestions. I sell appliqued dog clothes. I'm still trying to figure out the best keywords to use. Thats nit so easy. The really good ones have too much competition or other ones are not good for engagement. It's frustratingly! If I had the money I'd advertise my shop on a billboard in Times Square lol

If you are new and have low sales go for decent views and low competition. You won't get found yet with high competition. Don't worry so much yet about the engagement unless it's really really low.
I'm new to Etsy, so what is the difference in them.
Hello !
I am offering a discount in my shop https://www.etsy.com/in-en/shop/SanSonGallery
Coupon Code is OFF555 for straight $5 off.
And other than that it’s 50 percent off !
My question is how to market this code? I don’t have any sales or subscriptions yet!
Which site or tool do you use for email marketing ?
I am open for collaboration with other art shops !
You could run an Etsy sale and then put a coupon code in your announcement so that when they land on your page from the sale, they can get an additonal percentage off if they buy two or more, or something like that.
I use the free version of erank. I've adjusted all of my listings following their SEO suggestions, and I have seen a growth in my views and even purchases in my shop. I would suggest researching outside of these forums to get more information on what's trending.
Erank also has this really great feature where you can type in a certain keyword and it comes up with a keyword cloud of other keywords people have searched that are related to the original word. For example, I searched doormats, and Erank showed me a variety of other ways people are searching for the same products! I hope this helped. :)
Hi,
I do like Marmalead because it gives grade and shows you what you might have missed and sometimes it's something really easy that you've missed that could help you get more "eyes" on your store or products. :)
E rank does the same thing.

Holy Basil Rare Tulsi Organic & Homemade Rare Plant Sold Cheap
Medicinal
Holy Basil has been revered for its medicinal value throughout India for thousands of years. Ayurvedic texts describe Holy Basil as a pillar of holistic herbal medicine and a goddess incarnated in plant form (the mother medicine of nature). Many traditional Hindus worship an alter bearing a Holy Basil plant that is placed in the courtyard of their home or in another prominent location. Today Holy Basil remains one of the most cherished of India’s sacred healing plants. The leaves smell of peppermint, cloves, licorice and/or lemon. There are three types of Tulsi sold: Krishna, Rama, and Vana. Rama and Krishna are of the same species. All varieties belong to the mint family and are cousins of sweet basil. Vana (Ocimum sp.), aka. “forest type”, is known for its fragrance. The plant has green leaves and stem, with white blossoms. It is found in the Himalayas and plains of India. Grows wild in Asia and Africa and is used medicinally there as well. Holy Basil is traditionally taken as an herbal tea, dried powder, fresh leaf, or mixed with ghee. Only the leaf is used. Holy Basil, or Tulsi, is an important symbol in the Hindu religion and it is a significant herb in ayurvedic medicine.

I have used eRank because it is free. I like the grading of my listings. I also like to be able to research what other sellers are doing. Who is number one etc. Tons of information for you to analyze so you can improve. Suggestions are given on your listings. I can almost always make a grade a listing now, but I do check it still.
Remember, grades are just to give you Etsy's best practices. Some of my best sellers have C for and seo grade. Don't touch any seo on something that has sold.
I've tried both Marmalead vs Erank. I spent a lot of time getting my "grades' to A on erank, and then decided to "see" what Marmalead was like. To my surprise all my grade "A" listings on Erank, are significantly down graded on Marmalead. I had several D- and C grades. Also the way they provide keywords is VERY different. Erank will lower your score if you have a single word tag, such as "card". Marmalead recommends single words for their tags. I found both pretty easy to use, but not sure which aligns more with Etsy. Perhaps the Etsy staff can clarify?
I prefer erank it is helping a lot!
