Hello,

I'm looking to explore more brand and type of inks use for lino printing. I'm currently using Speedball block printing ink. Just curious what other inks does you all use? :)

Re: Brand and Type of Ink/s Use

I started with some cheap arcylic paint. It had an unusual texture after I pulled it. Actually, the paint ended up looking like it had benn pulled and dragged across the paper.

I have picked up some water based relief printig ink by Daler Rowney which are decent.

Has anyone tried the System 3 relief printing medium? You mix it with acrylic paint to give better results.

Hello Chen

I use Akua Intaglio ink. You can also use it for relief printing. It's water soluble and very versatile. I get better results too if my paper has been soaked first.

Schmincke also have a really good water based linoprint ink too. It's called Aqua Linoldruck. Let me know how you go if you try either of these :)
