Several members had posted comments about the loss of Jane, a team member who passed away last week. Those comments were inadvertently removed. I am starting a Jane specific post for anyone who would like to use it. I remember Jane’s wonderful stories about “emus” whenever she had the letter E. I am grateful for her work as team captain. When systems changed, she located people, including me & showed us how to find our game. Jane is missed here.
Jane was ( and always will be ) THE hardest working cheerleader for the word games team. She kept in touch with most of us and worked so hard to keep the team together . I consider her team to be a lifesaver for many of us. Wonderful friendships have developed between the old and the new members. I think her far reaching vision has happened. I will always be grateful to her.
A wonderful person in so many ways.
Jeri @JeriAielloartstore 1 am hoping that all will participate. I think that Elizabeth's idea of sending this thread to Jane's niece is a great idea. Thanks for your input here.
@collecteddust That’s a very nice idea
I knew Jane from the 'old forum' initially, as the smart and fast-as-all-getout person who solved game challenges so quickly and often hilariously. As Jeri mentioned, I'll never read about an emu, aardvark or numbat without thinking of her! With her quick wit and friendly nature, she made many friends in the forum. When she asked for volunteers to form a dedicated team, I put my hand up, and dove in with her. Really got to know Jane over the next almost 3 years both on and off Etsy. Even when experiencing ill-health and even tragedy, she remained so positive, and always had something good to say. She will be missed, and I'm so grateful for having had the pleasure of knowing her!
Thank You for starting this Thread, Jeri.
I didn't know Jane well. But she was always gracious and kind to everyone on our Team. She made you smile with her posts about aardvarks and emus, and so many others. Jane also had so much positivity, no matter what was going on in her own life. She will definitely be missed. She is now in Heaven, reunited with her loved ones. Rest in Eternal Peace, Jane.
What could be one of her sentences in the forums?
An aardvark was teaching kitties how to read.
And Emus were always sashaying... @SwissZahlerArt
Just read this post and am shocked and saddened by this devastating news. I remember Jane frequented the forum games and enjoyed seeing her posts throughout. Jane knew the value of leadership and lead with initiative for others. RIP dear Jane. E hiamoe me ka maluhia
