I live by the ocean, so I wind up with a lot of seascapes. But really, I just like taking pictures that seem surreal, whether it's a cityscape with all the lights glowing bright or a desolate and snowy beach. If it's evocative and captures a mood, I enjoy it.
I love all kinds of nature landscapes, but probably some of my favorites are slow exposures of water. It must be in human nature, I think everyone loves water!
While I prefer landscapes that are free of man-made structures, I DO enjoy seeing city skylines from time to time. Thanks for looking at my work, and my new Etsy shop just opened this month.
Thanks, Micol! We took a day trip yesterday and got this shot of Rutledge Falls in Manchester, Tennessee. Usually the falls are teeming with locals swimming in the pool under the waterfall, but yesterday was rainy and gloomy, and we found the falls deserted! Perfect lighting for an ominous, dark shot of moving water!
Bob, lovely forest photo of the Tennessee lake:-). I love the mist. Adam, a very enchanting seascape image! Dirk, your beautiful forest shot makes me feel like I can smell the scent of the earth, after it rains.
Favorite kind of landscapes. Nature related....out west...mountains, rivers, waterfalls, scenes with wildlife....hard to pin it down to one catagory. I guess it would be the one Im able to be at and shoot when theres good light..................?
