WELCOME INTO THE BLUE!

This is your place to dive in search of deep blue secrets or cruise the sky with no limit…
This is the place to be yourself and to tell everybody why you’re in…

Starting by us…

We discovered Etsy and started our online store because Juliette (our 3 years girls). Artemisa (the mother) was planned a Master Degree… and somebody (the dad) had to stay more time home. And for this simple reason selling Larimar online changed our life and the life of a lot of people around us…
It’s not easy to live in Dominican Republic creating and selling jewelry. You will never be rich and less poor only if you’re lucky…

Etsy offered us the opportunity to catch the world… And here we are: surrounded by turquoises waves, golden beaches, silver moons and blue stones everywhere …

:-) Olivier, Artemisa, Jerome (10 years, creating jewels), Juliette (3 years, playing with the stones) and Larimar (part of the family)

What's your Larimar story?

Re: WELCOME INTO THE BLUE!

I'm a jeweler living on St Croix in the US Virgin Islands. I sell my work primarily to cruise ship passengers that visit this beautiful island. This summer, we have no ships for over 6 months so I'm trying to transition to selling online.

I was introduced to larimar while living here in the islands. Salesmen visit this island with their flight bags filled with beautiful blue larimar stones. It was instant love for me. What a sensational stone! So much variety! I'm hooked :)

Re: WELCOME INTO THE BLUE!

I just wanted something to remind me of mermaids and the caribean sea, I am from Puerto Rico, sister of the Dominican Republic. I currently live in Maryland, US. I miss the Sea and founs Larimar to have that blue perfect sea color, makes me feel close to the sea.

Re: WELCOME INTO THE BLUE!

Back to Larimar, the most addictive and beautiful gemstone in the world. It is only fitting that this gorgeous gemstone be found exclusively in the Dominican Republic. Larimar and Olivier, Artemisa and family, the founders of Larimar and Silver, are very unique and precious jewels of the Caribbean.

I fell in love with larimar at an outdoor Saturday market in Kahalui, Maui a few years ago.......Was I ever lucky. The seller was desperate to sell the few pieces of larimar she had. I could have been "scammed" so easily if I hadn't been interested in semiprecious gemstones and learned about them before I saw the mesmerizing blue gemstone jewelry at the market that day.

I found a beautiful blue pendant with a fabulous shape and color. Sky blue with fluffy white clouds. It did have a little silver flower on the back to indicate the maker. It was so beautiful that I took a chance and bought it. It is still a favorite and I really was lucky for it really is genuine larimar.

A few years later my larimar luck continued. I found a fantastic larimar cab on Etsy made by none other than Olivier and Artemisa at Larimar and Silver. They had just opened their shop and I could see that this was an amazing gemstone. I will try find a link to it when I come back to continue my love story.

Re: WELCOME INTO THE BLUE!

I sorry but I couldn't find a link to post. At that time, I didn't know that Larimar and Silver would also set larimar cabs for me. I ordered it and was stunned by its' beauty. I kept if for several months before I could let it go to be made into a fabulous pendant necklace by my Etsy friend, Nur (metalmorphoz) in Calgary, Alberta.

Larimar sells very well locally as well as in my shop when I have pieces available. At present there is only one listing which may be custom ordered in my shop. However, the sold section has some of the larimar pieces I have made. I invite you to come and see the larimar, past and present, in my shop.

I was hooked on larimar from the first purchase I made from O and A. I'd say the rest is history, but it is also ongoing as I continue to make and sell larimar jewelry. There are some pieces that I can't part with so I do have a wonderful collection of my own.

The blue color of this gemstone has definitely found the pleasure center in my brain. It is my only addiction! I would have to spend years in rehab to lose this addiction.
But who would want to lose an addiction to this fabulous gemstone? My larimar jewelry will remain in my family for many generations to come.

Re: WELCOME INTO THE BLUE!

Hi, I'm new here and here's the Larimar part of my story. Someone mentioned to me how beautiful it was, long before I ever saw it. I finally found piles of it (each piece very beautiful, but very expensive) at the Tucson Gem and Mineral show, and fell in love. So now we try to keep pieces of it for others to discover -- but only the finest we can find. Check us out if you get a chance!
