Button maker!

So we just got our hands on a 1 1/2 inch button maker. But, we're short on ideas of what to do with it.

So I making an open call for button ideas.

Anime, video games, movies, quotes, ideas, you name it and we'll consider it.
If you provide an idea we decide to use, we'll send you the button for free. :)

Anything awesome that isn't just a picture printed off the internet...I despise cheaters. So many buttons and pins on Etsy are in copyright violation. Be creative! :)

Oh I know. But the bastards sell so much. It's really tempting >_< That's why I'm looking for ideas. Something fresh. Nothings comin to me.

We do patches and I decided to try and take patches in a new direction. Something more than a basic logo or design. So I commissioned a skilled sketch artist to draw a picture of Hugh Laurie as house that I could make into a patch. It was pretty much a flop though. We've sold 2 of them in 6 months. Haven't made enough to cover the expensive of hiring the artist.

I draw my own stuff... It's not great, but it sells! Mostly my hand drawn serenity earrings.

I don't know exactly what to call them, but I've always liked the "...do it..." phrases. Like:
Ninjas do it stealthily.
Quantum Physicists do it everywhere at once.
Teachers do it against a blackboard.
Astronauts do it in outer space.
Mimes do it silently.
Doctors do it with gloves on.

And each one could have a simple icon or image to go with the theme.

I agree, Krisit. It makes me sad. Also, I really like your shop and surprise shop. That is really creative. :-)

Paladin: Silly phrases for specific sciences go over well.
Examples:
Geologists know what makes the bedrock.
Too sexy for my chert.
What's nu? Frequency! :-)

I have a button maker and I love it to bits.
Ideas can be going to flea markets/garage sales and buying old comics real cheap and making buttons out of them. That's what we're going to be doing this summer :)
