undyed, unbleached and kinda scary

This was an experiment, with undyed, unbleached organic cotton yarn.

Is it just me, or is this bunny really kinda scary?

Maybe it's just that he has no facial features that he looks a little weird. Otherwise, I think it's adorable. Is that Blue Sky Alpaca's organic yarn? I made a bath mitt for my sister out of one, and the texture looks the same. I really love that yarn. It's so expensive, though!

Nice bunny!

He would be adorable if he could have a face. What child wants a toy without a face. Darn CPSIA!!! I wanted to use worse language but you get the meaning.

Re: undyed, unbleached and kinda scary

Oh yeah it's Blue Sky's organic cotton... it's spendy.
I also got some of the color grown... a bit more spendy.
I pondered using the color grown tan to embroider a face, but that wasn't right either.

drooled over the organic, undyed, unbleached, baby alpaca too. (so many COLORS cream, tan, a darker tan, two shades of brown, 2 shades of grey, and an almost black.) At $17/skein it's gotta wait till I sell off a LOT of stuff.

"Beige is the new black."

I better go get some organic carrots for this guy...
he reminds me of a ghost/monster from Japanese folklore, a no-face person wandering the roads at night.

It looks fine, just plain:)

So...i wonder about those who choose to dye their wool and yarn with onion peels and beets...still need to be tested?hehe

Yeah, he needs some eyes or something. You had me laughing really hard when you talked about drooling over the organic color choices. Yes, it is going to be a very bland world for our children after the 10th

I think with a face he would be cute! Do you know that alpaca comes in tons of shades of brown--no dyes.

Re: undyed, unbleached and kinda scary

LionBrand makes their Lion Organic (cotton) in 4 different colorgrown shades. I think they're vanilla, almond, cypress and sage. As much as I love vibrant colors, sometimes I really like the muted, natural colors, too, and these yarns feel really good to work with. I still have some in my stash - guess it will be making an appearance, soon!

Re: undyed, unbleached and kinda scary

Oh - and as much as I like the Blue Sky Alpaca organic cotton (it's thick and feels good), the Lion stuff is much cheaper. I've seen it for as little as $5.49 a skein. A steal compared to some other organics I've priced.
