tracking label?

Would you think a tracking label is needed for something that is exempt from the CPSIA?

Example - set of wooden rings for teething... should I put anything on the packaging or label at all?

Are you selling them as a supply for others to use?

But then again, look at it this way. You need a CoC from suppliers, what if you had a batch of something that turned out to have a flaw in it or was in some way hazardous. if you kept no records or didn't have some kind of labeling how would you know the origin of the flawed something, It's kind of trickle down and up responsibility. Your customers would need to be notified when you found out there was a problem and your supplier would need to be notified.

If you are selling something that you are advertising, describing as for ultimate use for children then it is perceived as a "children;s product".

As someone who uses wooden rings for teethers, I would definitely appreciate it if my supplier let me know if any issues were found in rings I had purchased. I have had my teethers tested but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks all - have you ever tried using a label maker for this? I looked at the office max yesterday & saw there is one that hooks right up to a computer... I am thinking since they print one label at a time maybe it's an option?

I did buy this printer and love it! My next plan to simplify is changing my original numbering system.

Got a bag heat sealer - love that too!

I also bought the DYMO 4XL for shipping labels.

Had some days last week of high volume sales & figure becoming as efficient as possible is a good idea for the upcoming Christmas rush!
