the actual "process"...

I still have this question nagging me in the back of my head... what actually HAPPENS when you're XRF testing? Is the gun simply "waived" over the item? If so, does the item need to be rotated around and all sides have the gun "waived" over it?

Also, if it's a "waiving" of the gun... how quickly is it done? Slow? Fast? Reason I'm really wondering is because I have about 2000 items in my shop that are not from large manufacturers (who will be provinding me with GCCs)..so I'll need to do the testing. I need to get an idea, if I'm going to "share" in this expense with someone, how long I would need to be using the gun.

If anyone can share this info with me, I'd really appreciate it :)

I know turtleparktots had 30 items and it took her 45 minutes, well an expert actually used the gun.

patacakebaby... I just watched the youtube video clip and didn't know whether to laugh or cry! It's SO funny! But it's RIDICULOUS when you see these guys scanning onesies and cute little baby shoes. Someone needs to send that clip to Obama so he can see how STUPID this whole thing is...and really start riding Waxman!

PS - lucky lead-testers...making out like stinkin' bandits on this whole stupid thing! UGH!
