To my knowledge no. We all were sweating it out over the fda proposed globalization act but that has been delayed at this point.

I did a Search and only 2 crayon soaps came up on all of etsy. So it's not a big issue here, presently. My guess is that any product marketed specifically as being for children is going to have to meet the standards of the new regulations.

I would think it is anything "aimed" & for sale for child use no matter what it is?.......not sure.

Interesting! I never considered it, but there are quite a few B&B companies who market products for use by babies & children specifically.

I'm just glad the Globalization Act is shelved for now - for us, that was scary on par with this CPSIA issue.

I hope they make some exceptions/exclusions in the form of amendments so that the law makes some kind of sense and won't destroy so many businesses. I'm watching with interest!

I make a bum balm ... (though it can be used for many other things)... I may have to just change the name :)

I've been wondering about this too. Does this mean no more selling kids soaps in fun little shapes?
