I wrote to some senators and this is what one sent back:
"Thank you for contacting me about Community Choice Act of 2007. You will be happy to learn that I am a co-sponsor of this important legislation. I will continue to follow this issue closely, and will be sure to keep your views in mind if this bill, or any other legislation relating to Medicaid policy comes before the United States Senate."

umm...I explained the law and the CPSIA and how it is going to hurt small businesses....how did his office get "medicaid" out of any of that?????

Thanks for the info. There's another thread about writing directly to the President. I posted a question about starting a petition or having a sample letter so that we can all copy and send in massive amounts of letters. Has anyone done this?

auntiejill: When you get an answer to a letter that has nothing to do with what you wrote about, to me it really explains how we can get laws like the one we are having to deal with. Hopefully we can get enough artisans involved to show Congress & the President that this law must be changed.
